8 (+ 3.5)k watchers! (Patreon)

Hey guys, we officially got over 8000 watchers on FA (plus over 3500 over at https://twitter.com/im_mabit )

I just wanted to thank you all for these couple of new milestones. I've been working really hard on finishing my master's degree so things haven't been as exciting as they were some time ago, but that should change next year when I'll be (hopefully!) done with that.

Also I wanted to say that I really do appreciate every comment that you guys leave on my work. Even if I don't reply to all of them, do know that I always get super excited when I get a new one, and do take the time to read all of them eventually. It is really comforting that there are other human beings on the other side of this monitor, and that they are enjoying the stuff that I make. Thanks again for leaving them, you guys rock.

Now, the 8k milestone is also an important one for another reason.

Back when I finished college I still wasn't 100% sure of what to do with my life. I do love both my field of study and this whole thing I got over here with art and stuff, so I decided to set an arbitrary goal for myself. Back then I was around the 5k mark, and since I knew that things would surely slow down around here once I started work on my master's, I decided that if I was able to reach the 8k watcher milestone I'd try to become a full time artist.

And, well

here we are.

Nothing is gonna change in the near future though. Consider this a transition period until I finish and defend my thesis and all other required steps for the completion of my master's course. As my workload on that side of my life lets off, my workload on this side will be increasing. For the last couple of years I've only been able to afford being Mabit at around 10 to 25% of my capacity, let's see how 100% feels like

Ah, and you don't need to worry too much about me as I like to think that I'm as prepared as I can be to take this decision. My education is something I'll be able to rely on as I've made sure to leave as many doors open as possible on that end, and even if that also fails I have several other contingency plans ready. Although if you like the work I put out and would like to help guarantee that I continue making it, you can always support me over at my over here at my patron. I don't gate any of my content here, but I can offer it to you earlier than my usual friday/sunday update schedule over here (although the bigger reward would definitely be chatting with us at our discord server. Huge shoutout to everyone over there, you're amazing people and I'm really glad I get to chat with you guys every day).

By the way, don't feel obliged to support me on Patreon if you can't. Every single watcher, favorite and comment is already much more than I could ever ask of you guys. As long as people keep enjoying the content I make I'll try to find a way to create it.
