Episode 98 of me on a never ending journey to adapt a comic style...

Or is it never ending?

For last couple of weeks I've been doing studies of several comic artists I admire. Trying to figure out their technique and is there something I can use to help myself. And yeah, there is. I think I have finally came up with look I like without pouring hours and hours of painting and drawing into a single panel. It's a lot of things that mater, line thinness or thickness, choice of color and value, as well as careful placement of shadows and highlights. I knew of this stuff before but doing these comic studies helped me utilize it in a good way.

I shall do couple of test pages with this new approach and see how much they take to finish. If I menage to do a page in two work days or less, we might be back on track.

This doesn't mean I'm back doing TNC, but it might be a first step towards it.

See ya in couple of weeks with a short TNC story I hope! Work first, because bills bills bills.

Thank you! And it will. It's just a matter of time and effort. But like with everything, we all want it sooner rather than later.
