[Post 1/2] World Of Leah 2.0 - A real talk, Future plans & Long needed changes (Patreon)

as you know, I've been working on this post for quite a while as it covers a ton of things.

As it has gotten quite long, I actually split this post into two. This post will include some real talk, an assessment of what I think went wrong in the past and how I want to improve, followed by some announcements for the future. The second post will build up on this one by focusing on more details about what lies ahead in the near future and will also include teaser pics!

While I know that it's a lot to read, I urge everyone of you to read it fully when you have the time. Doesn't have to be immediately of course. I'll try to summarize it at the very end but it's a very complex topic and for the sake of transparency I want you to understand where this is coming from.

Truth be told

I think it's time for a real talk with you guys. I haven't been feeling happy with the World Of Leah for at least the past 6-12 months. This is partially due to my state of mental health which certainly isn't helping, but most of all due to the lack of real progress in creativity and sense of personal accomplishment I used to have about this project.

I used to have more fun with this. I always learnt new things, dared to do something new in the 3DX space, maybe a bit weird, maybe a bit unconventional, but I had creative ideas when I started off. But in recent years I started to more and more streamline things as I was slowly drifting into the financial dependency of this project and the anxiety that came with being self employed and making mistakes that could lead to bad financial consequences. So instead of daring to try something new, progress became quite stale. Instead of creating fun and interesting plots like in the very beginning, I made them somewhat predictable and simple to follow. Albums started to have somewhat of the same "blueprint" to them - because it worked.

But for the first time since the very beginning, I started to see not only a stop in growth, but a slow, subtle decline starting in early 2022. It took me these 15 months and almost as many album releases to realize that, unless there's some sort of miracle, I am stuck in this downwards spiral and can no longer play it safe and stick to those blueprints, but have to dare again. Time is ticking and I have to change something that can not only kickstart this project again in a meaningful way, but also bring back my own excitement and creativity that I have admittedly lost a lot of over the years.

A fresh start

The World Of Leah needs a fresh start with fresh ideas that work with the existing storyline. Albums need to be quirky again, have multiple non-predictable plot points, more personality and some adventure in them. They need more of a consistent focus on what you guys actually want to see and tell a good story instead of just having some dialogue, a plot-twist and then a happy ending all crunched down to 60 pics.

I know these stories are still cool and all. I know for a lot of you that might be enough - in the end we all just want to fap. But I've released over 30 albums with more than 2000 individual images so far. If I continue to mass produce these albums this way, it'll only lead to repetition. And the negative growth of this project shows that something needs to change. I need more creative freedom again.

My biggest mistake was probably that I someday started to introduce monthly album releases and stuck by it. I remember some of you warning me of exactly that - and you were right. That release cycle not only limited me in what I can do but also stopped me from educating myself further without taking breaks in-between which mess up that cycle anyway. For example, if I really want to be able to push out animations someday, I need the time to do this, and that time isn't there with that tight schedule, neither is there any time for other things that enable me to grow as a content creator.

For me, the most important thing just was (and still is) to have a stable income so I can keep doing this hobby as a job. Monthly releases helped with that. However, judging by the last 15 months, doing this exact same thing is no longer sustainable and I need to take the plunge into cold water and change things up.

This will now finally bring me to two announcements that will carry some weight.

Announcement 1/2 - Quality rather than Quantity

So by this post I'm announcing to start focusing on quality rather than quantity and no longer promise one album per month, but bigger and better albums that are well worth waiting for. (Aiming for 2-3 Months but I wouldn't put that in stone)

Of course there will still be goodies each month: Loyalty Rewards will still be released at the 2nd day of each month. Previews as well as First Half Releases will also continue being a thing as usual. Nothing else changes besides the monthly release schedule.

Announcement 2/2 - Content Seasons

Now that's actually the first time in a long while that I can genuinely announce something with excitement: The first thing I want to newly introduce are "Content Seasons".

Each season will have a specific theme, story- and character focus and span over multiple album releases. So all albums within that season combined will tell a whole storyline. No more back and forth each month between characters and stories. (Other characters might still get a guest appearances every now and then, but they won't play any main roles.)

The first season is going to be called "Sexfluencers" and features Leah, Lily, Kendall, Alexa, The Dongler and The Shlongler. The second follow-up post, goes into detail of about exactly what to expect from this season.

Bottom line is: With Seasons I want to bring back the uniqueness of the World Of Leah and keep my focus on it. Things like quirky characters, big dicks, petite girls and a semi-realistic, believable setting with some light hearted humor and interesting plots.

Verdict

I hope this gave you a good idea about why I announced all these changes and I genuinely hope you're excited about what the future is going to hold.
