Album Update

Heyhey!

I was planning on releasing the first previews of the upcoming No Nut November album yesterday but I wasn't too happy about how they turned out or rather how the album started so I'm redoing the beginning. Meaning the first previews will likely drop tomorrow or the day after at the very latest.

Just so you're up-to-date! This shouldn't cause too much of a delay for the final release date in the beginning of next month.

Reiteration about my future plans

The other day I was having a small discussion on Discord about my latest update post regarding my future plans and working with Unreal Engine 5.

I realized that one part particularly, about the long term future and how I'd eventually would take a longer time off to learn the Unreal Engine 5, came off a bit too strong.

To reiterate: My main goal first and foremost is to finally get going with animations one way or another (in the rather short or mid-term). What I said about games or interactive 3D viewers, etc. was a far fetched idea I had and nothing I'm already planning to realize. Some Patrons were rightfully concerned that this might be unrealistic or too ambitious to plan for right now and I agree.

I was just making examples of what could be possible with the UE5 someday if I took enough time and learnt it probably. My point is just that if I'd learn Blender now for example and do animations, all would be good and I did what I wanted. But what if years from then I want to go another step? For example a game or something interactive? Again, not that I have planned that specifically, but if I wanted to go that route someday, I would need to stop again and learn an entirely new program because I limited myself to Blender.

This is why I concluded that learning Unreal Engine 5 is the best option because it can do animations just fine in great quality but if I someday decided that I want to do more, I wouldn't have to pick up an entirely new program.

So making animations is the actual relevant thing I'm aiming for when learning a new program, and this wouldn't require me to take off a "longer time" from making albums either, maybe one month at best. I just went a bit overboard with what else could be possible eventually :D Hope that makes things clearer!

Love your stuff. I play about with daz studio but would love to see your work flow and any tips you’ve picked up along the way

Thank you! I think the work flow really depends on yourself and you'll figure it out the longer you work with the program. When you begin learning DAZ I always found it helpful to not watch too many tutorials that tell you exactly what to do and rather make yourself a goal and google the questions you get along the way. I personally learnt a lot by just going for it and googling myself through every roadblock I faced because that makes you learn a lot of under-the-hood stuff about DAZ that helps you in the long-term. Though of course everyone learns things a little different, this way just worked for me the best
