BIG Roadmap Update: September, October and possibly beyond (Patreon)

Time for a new update on what's planned for the upcoming months and I can already tell you that September and October will be quite exciting!

There's a TLDR at the bottom but I'd really appreciate if you read the whole post when there's time!

First of all: The upcoming album with Lily & Kendall will be released as always early next month, probably around the 5th. It'll contain ~60+ images in 4k (with dialogue) and has a story focus.  

The most ambitious Album project thus far (and the most experimental)

For September & October I'm planning something big. The idea for it I've had in mind for quite some time now but I lacked the experience to make it work with my current hardware as it requires a lot of workarounds and optimization.

Now I'm finally confident enough to give it a go and the first few tests gave me hope!

Overview

The quick story summary is that Annie & Keith will go on a roadtrip through California in the last week of summer vacation but they decide that it'd be more fun to bring more people along. 

So the album will be on a roadtrip and take place not only in the camper van they travel in, but also at each location they visit will be featured. Practically this means that the whole album will be split into multiple smaller albums. One small album for each location they visit or event that happens.

What's also special about this album is that it will feature both NSFW and SFW stories (both with dialogue) so that we don't end up with a bunch of unrelated sex scenes in different locations but also have some context and see the characters and their dynamics with each other in some casual situations. The only other time we've had this kind of casual dynamic between the characters in a NSFW album, was in the first half of Birthday With Benefits (Part 1). This kind of story-telling is what I'm going for, just on a bigger scale in terms of diversity.

That being said, the album will of course have a lot of sex scenes. The great thing is that there are barely any limits on what will happen given I can choose between so many locations that they visit.

The Characters

I thought about what characters to pick for quite some time now and decided on a quite unexpected crossover between Annie & Keith and Melanie & Steven.

The reason I chose those two over some more natural choices like Allison or Alana is that Melanie & Steven are quite the odd candidates to go on a roadtrip with and the character dynamic between those 4 will be the most interesting. 

Melanie & Annie are roommates at college so they know each other well although they barely have anything in common. Melanie is also an absolute couch-potato and introvert so for her to get out of her comfort zone and go on a roadtrip is a big undertaking and will lead to a few interesting/funny situations.

Steven and Keith don't know each other at all and it will be interesting to see how they deal with each other as they too are quite the opposite of characters. What else makes this combination interesting is that both "couples" consider themselves friends with benefits. So when it comes to sexual interactions between all 4, the sky is the limit.

The Challenge

Now the question is how I'll be able to handle the release of this album. How long will it take, how many images can you expect and will my graphics card survive?

My plan is to work on this album for at least two months (September & October). 

The good thing is that due to it's nature of being split into multiple smaller story segments, it wouldn't be an issue to keep the monthly release schedule going and release the whole album as multiple parts. Each part at the start of a month. So we'll have a release in early October, November and maybe even December.

Now I can't say a lot about the image count yet as that'll depend on how well I can structure each section. I haven't worked with 4 characters before and while not every section of the album will include all 4 characters at once, it'll still take a lot of time to pose them all. Setting up and optimizing a new scene can also take 1-2 days alone so there's that. It's simply hard to say what picture count we will end up with right now.

My very naive goal would be 120 images but as the album will not only be sex scenes but also travel photos and casual dialogues which are easier to produce, it might as well hit the 200 mark. I can't say it yet. If it turns out to stretch into December, it's most likely go beyond 150+. I could be totally wrong with these estimates but that's my best guess right now.

Extra info

For this album I also updated the models of Keith & Steven to Genesis 8.1 and made them use the new PBR Shaders which will finally make them on-pair with the already updated girl models again. Not that there's a huge difference to notice, but a subtle one for sure.

Melanie also received a minor upgrade and now has two new hairstyles that she'll make use of in the album! Annie also got a secondary hairstyle for this album!

Conclusion

So yes, the most ambitious album so far! Please let me know what you think of this whole idea and if you are okay with the album stretching over a couple of months or if you'd rather prefer to have other albums in between?
