Yooooo ! The shading in this strip is the best you have ever done ! : D it really sets the mood . Amazing work my dude. Like I love the first panel with the apocalyptic sky and it’s light outlines the two characters in the tunnel. I also love how you keep the daughters face out of the frame only showing her chest , and hands focusing on the bird. Also a good Connection with Bukka and vodkas hide out and ( I Assume empress) the breeder queen hive entrance. The Queens entrance is more dark and overall series tone. While Bukka and vodkas has more light shining through giving a feeling of hope. the tone is more of “ we are surviving but we have each other”

Would Vodka and Bukka be on board with the Breeder Queen's plan, would they try to persuad her to better option, or would they betray her? Also why is the Breeder Queen so hostile towards other species?

Bukka and Vodka would try to persuade her first, hoping they don't have to resort to other methods. About the Queen being so hostile towards other species, it's a common trait in all Breeders so she's just following her instincts. Breeders are an invasive and extremely agressive species that wants to proliferate, evolve and take over every planet possible, although the Breeder Queen can end up making use of her diplomatic "skills" sometimes if that ensures her species' survival (as she did with the Supreme Leader).

Exactly, James! I like to play with the background's colors to transmit different feelings depending of the situation and/or the faction being depicted. In the case of the Resistance (including Vodka and Bukka) I play with bright colors to give a feeling of hope, unlike the Supreme Leader/Utopia (dark/grey colors) or the Breeder Queen (dark/purple-ish colors). This time, the Breeder Queen's hive has an even darker tone to emphasize the dark events happening there and give the impression something really bad is about to happen. I'm so glad you like it! :D
