Hi! The new funke video is in late editing, I aimed for it out this week but right now but I'm behind my own schedule so it will still be bit longer. It relates to online team/pvp games, so there's a wee bit of overlap with my last video about fps, But for the most part it's about certain game features that could abstractly apply to really any competitive game with multiple players; which in this case is a good thing since I can talk about them in more applicable ways than I could for say a fringe creation tool. I don't want to give away the topic itself, but it's the kind of thing I think anybody could recognize and totally 'get'. There's no catalyst or reason for a release delay, I just misjudged how long it would take (again, yeah); The writing/editing itself is going fine without major hiccups so now i'm in entering the stage of grind-it-till-it's-out.

After that's done, i'll be reorienting myself and trying to put out videos more actively throughout the end of the year. I haven't been happy at all with my output lately, and to be honest i'm still somewhat overwhelmed by the reception my main videos get (the last upload is already nearing 1m and it's been less than a few months! even in my tf2 hayday such a thing was a pipe dream). But internally I have a pretty good understanding of what I want to make, how I can say it in a comprehensive way, and how I can express it visually without overrunning my own deadlines too much. I have a good backlog of main channel videos to keep me busy for a while, but as for how many I can stuff into the end of the year remains to be seen.

Slightly related, i've got a comparable backlog of funke study topics I've yet to write/release because I haven't had the time to gather the necessary footage and edit them, in the coming months i'll be considering the option of hiring an editor to help me run a dual-output of studies to the side of main videos (though until january, my primary focus will be making videos myself). Patreon then will/would go towards helping pay for said editor(s), but as of the current moment it's still just for financial support and having funds for the software/hardware relevant to my work. In other words, nothing really changes on your end but optimistically I'll be able to optimize much harder on all the things slowing videos down after I work out the logistics in the coming months.

So, yeah- next video in the early coming Oct, the rest of the year will be super youtube focused, and i'm considering hiring study editor(s) come next year.  I'll keep you updated as time progresses, if it does, which it no longer seems to do in 2020. Bye!
