Greet. The next video is in production and should be done in, maybe.. two weeks? I started a bit late on this one, I was been working on other larger videos for a later date which set me back, but now I'm grinding the current one again. In the same vein as my mapping/modding videos i'm talking about a specific mechanic I think deserves more attention, and it'll be a pretty fun one at that.

Secondly, as a courtesy I want to mention I'm considering, once this video is finished, switching the patreon to per month rather than per video. The purpose of the patreon was to provide me stability, but I don't have that with per video because if a gap goes over 4 weeks, I'm just back to relying on ad-rev again until I upload. That... Well... defeated the purpose of having a patreon at all.

Above all else, this would alleviate a lot of the stress video gaps has imposed on my psyche. I've had to cut my freetime to finish main videos, which has made music creation and streaming harder to justify- things that I genuinely enjoy. If this change doesn't work for you, please let me know how you feel, and worst case you are encouraged to cancel future payments to avoid getting charged more regularly than before (monthly as opposed to the ~1.5 months I average currently). I will understand, and I will continue working as I do regardless of the patreon's state.

In conclusion, you can expect more from me soon. I'm still figuring out the outro situation, because 1. I have a LOT of names to list (and missed ones to catch up), which means singing them all might take half the video itself, and 2. I'm still figuring out the whole copyright status on my outro, which means I might not be able to use it at all. Either way, I intend to find a way to do everyone justice in that regard going forward. Cheers.

For me personally, i have no problem with the per month change rather than per video. But id rather not speak for others because i can see how some may be against it.

That’s ok with me as long as I get a video more than twice a year

Now admittedly I did prefer the previous method because it felt more faithful to how patreon should work, which is support given for the work provided. That being said, if it’s either we choose not to provide the funds for you to make more of what we’re looking for or just not fund it at all, then I’d gladly give you what I can. Gotta remember that we didn’t sign up for the amazing payment plan but for the content you’re able to provide. Keep up the good work and I hope most people think the same and don’t pull out

per video is my personal preference, hence why it's taken so long since the patreon's creation to even consider changing it. But neither my youtube nor twitch generate enough revenue on their own to be considered particularly sustainable. So the alternative is go back to making "filler" videos in between big ones, integrate sponsorships, or just make the patreon monthly. None are "ideal" but to me this was the lesser of three evils.

Yea I get where you’re coming from. It’s not like you’re doing this because you wanna screw with us. I’d much rather you have the funds to make quality rather than having to rely on quantity. Sorry if I sounded a bit sour, probably because I was a bit. But I’m gonna stick around and hope this change helps you out in the long run
