Any of you know artists who do wing growth this way?  I can't recall off the top of my head, but there has to be some out there.

Y'know, a long time ago - and holy hell do I mean a long time ago - I remember reading a book simply called Wings.  Pretty good scene where the titular wings emerge and all that.  Story is decent enough, but...  From what I remember I think it also had some interesting insight for kids about the realities of social pressure.  Didn't really think about it till I was much older.

...So long ago. Back when I was young and all that.  Wanna say... somewhere around the Paleozoic era?  Seems about right.
