Built in 2019, it's time to start planning anew.

for all this time its been AMD (3800x), but thanks to that market pressure Intel, once reviled for their insane pricing and stagnant architecture, have Done Things that may be worthy of attention.

What do you have?

What shall I do?

I sure am glad clip studio makes automatic backups when you get an over volt alert and your comp shuts itself off while you are working.

Also, the eclipse is clearly a portent of DOOOOM.

OH!

I got new monitor thursday. Its large and absurdly bright.

IMO, it's a bit arbitrary. The likelihood that you'll be using a cpu to the extent where the brands different strengths shine through with multi/single core strength is very slim. Intel does need a beefy power supply. I've seen people do it where they cheap out on the power and then have to throttle their system... get what you can afford, look at some benchmarks of stuff you'll actually play. Personally, I'm running with an i7 13700k and it's great

Just curious, do you have a USB Datacolor monitor calibrator? You probably could benefit from that.
