The Gladiators – Part XIV (Public) (Patreon)

Beneath the blazing sun of Rome and on the heated sand of its arena, two sweating figures struggle for the mastery under the watchful eyes of the crowd. One holds the other tightly pinioned in a hold which has left him all but helpless, but his strength is such that he cannot be forced to submit – now will his Teuton’s pride allow it. The Gaul, his cunning and supple adversary, holds him fast – but lacks that critical edge of sheer strength to bring the battle to an end.  And thus they remain locked, swaying, striving their utmost, with the sweat of their struggle running rivulets down the locked and shining bodies and soaking the linen loincloths which are their only garb. The Teuton has been forced to his knees – and now half the crowd bay for his submission, while the rest cheer for him to break free and resume the fight.

And so, with a supreme effort and by sheer brute strength, he does. He slides his hands suddenly behind the Gaul’s neck – and then lifts him off his feet and flings him clean over his head to land heavily on the sand.  The crowd roar in appreciation and, as the Gaul lies winded and fighting for breath, the Teuton rises to his feet and lifts his arms in triumph.

“See now,” murmurs the girl to the Consul as they look on from a pre-eminent place, “for all his skill your chosen champion is no match for the strength of mine.”

The Consul merely grunts, watching the Teuton now circling the prone and panting Gaul. With a savage smile the redhead now stands over him – and lifts his booted foot high. Most of the men in the crowd wince in sympathetic anticipation as the foot comes stomping down – right atop the Gaul’s openly vulnerable manparts. With a loud cry the victim convulses in pain – but this does not save him from a second – and surely fight-concluding – blow of the boot ……..
