I think I've mentioned it in the past as well, but I've for a long time played around with the idea of gel/goo conjuring as one of the types of magic in the world my characters are a part of, so here's another painting inspired by that idea. Luke is getting some first-hand experience with how useful and versatile this magic is. 😄

Here are the download links for the rewards for this illustration:
WIP images
Short time lapse video
Long time lapse video
PSD files

I've added some of the reward files in the attachment here too. Ideally I'd want all of it right here, but the videos are unfortunately too big, and I don't think I'm allowed to use the video feature on Patreon since I'm a nsfw creator, so I guess I'll have to keep hosting stuff off-site as usual.

In the time lapse video you'll probably notice me going back and forth a bit with the colors in the illustration, removing the colors entirely and going back to greyscale before adding colors again later. And I didn't do a thorough enough job with the initial sketch as well, so I ended up changing stuff too late in the process which caused problems. Needless to say, the painting process should ideally not be like that, lol. I hope you appreciate seeing not just the times where it goes smoothly, but the not so smooth ones as well. Could maybe be interesting to compare them.

I've also added some doodles here that I messed around with since last time. Experimenting a bit more with different styles of sketching and coloring. I feel good about some of the approaches, and not so good about others. Which is great! It removes some indecision when I'm going into the next illustrations.

And I guess I should give you guys a small update about my eyes as well. I saw some more doctors recently and they told me they suspect it's an auto-immune disease where my immune system is attacking my corneas. I hope that's not too bad! 😅 But the doctors did seem a little bit excited by it being kinda rare, lol. They're sending me to cornea specialists in a couple of months, so I'll know more then!

No matter how well your October is going so far, I hope it gets a lot more amazing!

Been loving your work the last couple years! Quick question do you have any brushes that work with Clip Studio?

calm

Thank you! I'm afraid Paintstorm's brushes aren't compatible with other software as far as I'm aware, sorry about that. Most of the brushes I use are just hard round brushes though, where I change the settings to fit what I'm doing in the moment. I'd imagine a bunch of the default brushes in CSP are already very close to what I would use, but if I make any CSP brushes in the future that I feel good about, I'll make sure to share them. 👍
