Did some rough sketches today, I hope you like them! They're both iterations of the same scenario kind of. They're two elves who love to surround themselves with gold and riches, and there's no shortage of people who give them what they want. I wonder why. :)

I'm partial towards the bottom sketch personally, so that's likely to be the next illustration coming up!

And I've attached the recording of the process for the sketches too in case you wanna check that out.

Love it, & you're dead right the second one is mint. Excellent work!

Both look great! Would love to see both finished but the second one takes the lead.

these are both great but it is hard to beat a slightly more intimate framing like the second one

Wild Bill

Man those elves look hot. Dark skin, golden hair and makeup? Yes please.

Hugo The Marvelous

I'm definitely partial to the second as a het male. The top focus on the male as the center of the image. The bottom focuses on the ladies. So... yeah. Both lovely!!

They’re both lovely! I like the top one just a wee bit more because we get to see both the front and back of the women AND see the guy. I look forward to seeing either or though!

I love these. Seeing your sketches in between illustrations are always great and it whets the appetite for the monthly pics!

This is really awesome! The process timelapse is extremely insightful too! How on earth are you able to navigate the perspective grid in blender though?

Thank you! You can select the camera and rotate it along the Z axis to turn the view horizontally, and rotating it along the X axis will turn the view vertically. You can also rotate along the Y axis to tilt the camera. Then just play around with that until you find an angle that helps you visualize an idea in your head. I like to adjust the FOV and aspect ratio as well if needed. 👍

Thanks for uploading these. They're both great, but I prefer the bottom one. I guess because the closer camera angle makes it more intimate and dramatic.

John Storm

Hi, in this sketches this is so hot in this rawness 😍

Griffin Barrows

I like the micr0-narrative built in! Makes it feel engaging. (I -do- prefer the first image, tbh). I am glad to see and feel you really getting into your work, Calm!

Selendis

Love those. Hope they will be made into full version.
