Sooo... I made the mistake of making a more complex painting than I meant to, lol! Is that demon girl bringing her harem to the beach? Does her harem have room for more people? I'm sure she could find room for you. 👀

I know I said I wanted to focus on painting more smaller paintings instead of a few large ones over the next few months, but while I was working on this beach scene, things went pretty well and effortlessly for once! So I followed my inspiration and had fun with it.

But, as you can see, I also worked on a few other pictures as well! I wanted to share those too, because at least some of them will never be finished. They're okay, but I'm inspired to work on some other stuff for now.

You can also see I did some basic doodles using a thin round brush with every possible brush setting turned off. I feel like it's been good practice. There are two ideas behind that approach. The first is that if you can draw something you like using the most basic tool possible, you'll never be reliant on special brushes to make good drawings. And the second is it helps keep you from getting distracted by trying to render and polish things too early in the process if the brush you're using literally can't do it. Similar to the as-little-zooming-as-possible principle I try (but sometimes fail) to follow, that kind of deliberate limitation is great for building good habits. If you haven't tried it yourself yet, see if you like it. :)

Over the past few days I've been trying to do some character design drawings, so you might see some of those hopefully soon! Thanks for the support!

What brush do you use in all your illustrations for paint? I like this sketch that you did, and small works too, but what I realy live is to see the process to see how to finish.

I'm glad you like them! And sorry for the late reply. It's possible you've tried them by now, but I've added some of my latest brushes in the attachments in the most recent posts. :) The brushes I use can vary from painting to painting though. I experiment a lot, so the brushes rarely stay the same for very long, but the ones you find there are the ones I've enjoyed using recently.
