Hey, everyone, here's this month's illustration. I hope you like it! My brain is a bit fried now from noodling on tiny details for days, so I'm gonna give it a rest for a day or two before I get back to work. I think it turned out alright though!

You'll get a message from me in about a week from now as usual, on November 7, where I'll give you the download links for the rewards.

"I think it turned out alright though!" Let me tell you, it turned out a lot better than just alright! 😹😉 Starting off, i absolutely love the colour palette in this piece, the warm skin tones of all of the characters pop so strongly against the cool background with it's cool white/blue/green scheme. Naturally the white hair and collars as well as the blue eyes of the ladies are a great contrast against their own skin tones. With the background, I love the billowing white fabric and how it lifts and ripples, beautifully painted! As are the pillars with their patterned surfaces, the various plants and all other details like the glass bottle below the left-most pillar, the brass jug and cup next to the right ladies head, with their subtly shining metallic texture. The silky smooth sheets underneath the white man look amazing with their subtle shining texture and the way the material lifts, ripples and collapses on itself. The lighting is beautiful too and I like the subtle, cool haze throughout, gives the whole piece this soft tint. It's a little hard to describe but it's great for the atmosphere, softens up the background and really brings the fore-ground characters into focus. Speaking of those characters, they're all brilliantly painted! Starting with the white gentleman who looks like he's having a grand old time, I really like the lighting on him, with his head and right shoulder/arm being under the cool shadow which really makes the rest of his body look extra vibrant and warmly lit. The skin tones and textures are as fantastic as ever and I do love how you render muscles. The arm looks terrific and I especially like the pale edge-lighting that accentuates the definition there. I also really like the shadows that run down his right side as well as the outer planes of his right thigh and the contrast with the brighter front planes of his body. The textures of the muscles on the right thigh too are just great. The darker gentleman is brilliantly painted too and I really like the textures of his upper abs and the little details of the veins running through his forearm as well as the definition of the fingers of his hand in the distance. Now the ladies... hooooo boy 😻😻😻😻😻 Starting with the back lady, you did a great job and I really like how well her face is done with those pink eyelids, the blue eyes, reddish tone on her nose and the cheeks and the definition of her cheek as it spreads around the current contents of her mouth 😉 The white hair is gorgeous with that painterly style of yours that I love so much with a great deal of detail, the way some strands split apart or drape over the leg of the guy or her own back/shoulder is so good too. Her lower back with the subtly lit grooves/dimples in the skin, with the shadows wrapping around the outer contours of her butt are all so sensual and sexy too. I also love the painterly textures and definition of her neck and shoulder. The other lady is just... she's too much, just too damned sexy! 😻😻😻😻😻 I love the puckered lips around her finger and the little shine on them and just like the other elf, her pink makeup and reddish cheeks are a wonderful dash of extra warmth. The hair is again beautiful and I really like the rounded shapes of each section with the final section having those little split ends that curl off with this soft, fluffy texture. And you worked some extra magic on her breasts because there's something about them that is especially appealing and sexy and it's likely a combination of the beautiful warm skin tones, the soft rendering of the skin, the way the shadows wrap around them to define their shape and the way the darker lighting underneath them also makes them pop even more against her body. And the hint of her abs that we see is beautiful too with that hard edge running through the centre with soft lighting to make them pop. Absolutely astounding work on this piece! This is so insanely full of detail with terrific atmosphere and lighting and beautifully vibrant colours, you should definitely be proud of this one. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I'm so in love with Luke ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that glimpse of his perfect bum on the SHEETS CALM. I need it. But yes, the fabric is beautiful and so are the PLANTS DUDE. It was a delight seeing how much love and care you put into them along with so many other lovely details. It's hard to process your paintings sometimes because not only are they FULL of lovingly crafted bits like Luke's ass and the plants but because of the EMOTIONS and MOOD and physicality!! I always get a distinct sense of energy and movement from your works (even if the characters are recovering from their movements I can still FEEL IT) I just love it so much and this one is simply gorgeous. You are beyond cherished, Calm. Now please PLEASE take care and rest. and then rest some more.

I can't believe I missed this update when it came out!! I think this is my new favourite. ♡ I always appreciate how the men you paint are just as attractive as the women. I'm sorry to hear you burnt out a little on this one, I definitely think the details were worth it though. Beautiful.
