It's a big relief to finally have finished this picture. Thank you for being patient while waiting for it. :) For some reason it gave me a lot more trouble than my illustrations typically do, and I've been stressing a bit more than usual over it. I'm gonna work harder on making my process more structured! Hopefully that'll help avoid that problem in the future.

Now, however, I'll have a stress free month! It feels like a much needed change of pace to be honest. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I'll be spending the rest of March just sketching, hopefully allowing me to correct my slightly skewed schedule, while also giving me an opportunity to do more studies and strengthen my sketching skills. I hope you'll enjoy the results of that! You can read more about it here if you're curious.

No worries at all about waiting a little, like you say, February is a shorter month anyway so it's all good 😸. As for this preview, I never actually look at the poll after I've voted because I like to be surprised, and so I'm pretty pleasantly surprised to see that one of my two choices was the winner, I'm very eager to see this one! Even when blurred, the colours pop so nicely, specifically the skin tones against all of the whites and blues. And I'm looking forward to seeing your sketches throughout March, it'll be fun to see more of your sketches since even the thumbnail images for the polls look great.

Despite that, I simply had to write my comment ahead of time and I'm posting it here now since I have seen the full image 😸. So this mountain of text will make sense soon once this post has been updated 😹 _________________________________________________________________ Well, I feel confident in speaking for everyone when I say that this painting was more than worth the wait! 😻😻😻😻😻 Starting off with the overall background and colours, I really enjoy the cool atmosphere of this piece with the blues and whites throughout, with warm contrasts coming from the lovely lady's skin and golden accessories. The surroundings are wonderfully realised with a terrific sense of detail, from the indentations/grooves into the surrounding columns as well as the stone textures, the shiny finish of the floor tiles, the patterns in the carpet, the slight shine and tremendous amount of folds in the bedsheets and the fluffy, soft texture at the bottom left of the image. I simply must take a moment to commend the bedsheets in particular as the folds look gorgeous as they meander, overlap and then drape over the edge of the bed. I also like how the material rises up before sinking down beneath her ample bosom. The rendering here is sensational and the character herself is positively divine! Starting off with her hair, there is such a glorious and fluid sense of motion as it spreads far and wide, twisting, meandering and curling about the environments. I also really like the style in which you've rendered it, it still has a lot of detail but is less rendered than the rest of her and her immediate surroundings which provides a nice contrast. The best example of this contrast being the intricately detailed "toy" protruding from our dear lady, set against the lower-detailed hair, the colour contrast there is also very striking too. And I do want to re-iterate, I'm saying the hair is lower detailed in comparison to everything else but it still absolutely looks fantastic and intricately defined. Besides, I'm assuming that this was a deliberate choice on your part specifically to let the higher detailed character and objects in front of the hair pop out more. That aside, her attire is fantastic with her flowing, white cloth, transparent and moist, clinging to her skin with those warm tones peeking through on her back and left thigh. The golden tiara, ear-piercing and golden adornments on her back and arm look fantastic too with so much detail and intricate grooves carved into them. I also love how the golden parts on her head and arm are clearly tinted by cool shadows, letting them contrast further against the warmer toned gold nearer to the foreground. And the lady herself is just stunning with some more marvellous contrasts in the colours on her face, I adore her shining blue eyes and how those bright, vivid tones pop against her face. Similarly her blue lips are also eye-catching, even more so with her warm-toned tongue overlapping them. And I do like how the strands of hair cutting across her face, near her ear, are more highly detailed, fitting in with the more rendered surrounding skin tones and facial features. The lighting across all of her skin fantastic too, an area that I particularly enjoy is the warm light shining along her back, with a shadow cutting across her side that separates her back from her breast which also receives an appealing light. The long strand of hair flowing above her back, casting a shadow across her breast and back is also a fantastic detail that further accentuates the shapes of her body. And the light shining down from the top left onto each cheek of her bum as well as her thighs with opposing shadows to define those sections look utterly terrific. The plane changes too that separate each cheek of her bum as the toy pushes them apart are so well done, as are the subtle little lights and shadows that show her thighs separating from her "lady-bits". And it may just be me, but the warm tones of her "lady-bits" with the white material draping underneath them just looks so appealing, especially with the colour contrast and how beautifully you've rendered the forms of her body and folds in the cloth. The toy itself is a masterwork of brilliant rendering with how well you've created the patterns on the hoop, as well as the rippling, shiny textures along it's.. "length" 😹. And as always, you are a master of painting goop! I particularly like how the goop that's furthest away from her bum clearly becomes thinner and more transparent, specifically along her left thigh. While the globs that drip down her naughty parts and collect along the white cloth look great too. Absolutely brilliant work on this piece! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I wholeheartedly approve of your colour choices with the heavenly and peaceful whites and blues, with the Lady's beautiful warm skin tones and golden accessories really popping against it all. While you have the perfect amount of detail rendered across every aspect of the painting, with a beautiful character who is posed oh-so alluringly and sensually.

Well it might have been stressful but it definitely paid of I'd say, it's certainly a hot piece, you've done really good. I'm looking forward to seeing what your sketching will be like, it'll be good to know that you're keeping it easy too, I don't want one of my favourite artists working themselves to death, that wouldn't be any good.
