Hey cohorts. Will there ever be any way to ethically implement true AI into a video game? If an NPC believes it’s real, can think, can feel the full gamut of emotion - isn’t putting them in a virtual prison where they could be subject to all sorts of horrors objectively evil? It’s been explored in sci-fi ad nauseam but once we get to the point of being able to replicate consciousness, there’s no real difference between something that was artificially created versus organically, which I assume/hope will result in pretty stringent welfare laws for AI. But considering we don't even have those for a lot of humans yet that might be wishful thinking.

Hey MinnMax! So I got the platinum for Elden Ring a few weeks ago. I then bought Elden Ring on my Xbox to try and get all of the achievements. Should I be ashamed? Do I have a problem? Also have any of you ever done this?

Dear Ben and the Maxximilians, Has having a game spoiled ever made you want to play/or continue to play a game? I recently completed God of War 2018 for the first time and loved it, despite not really enjoying the combat and story beats in the first hours of the game. What kept me going was my fully knowing parts of the game coming up, including bosses and the big story twists (the GI game club being a big source). This expectation and perspective made me continue beyond the first portion of the game that otherwise may have turned me away, and wonder if any of you have experienced a similar thing? Keep doing what your doing, Ben, Cardiff.

Hey MinnMaxers! Does anyone else think its weird both Sony and Microsoft have major features not working properly on their next gen systems almost 2 years into their life? I'm talking about PS5 rest mode bugs (esp when using an external drive) and Series consoles quick resume both STILL causing major system crashes? I was watching an episode of IGNs gamescoop about a month ago and Daemon had his PS5 HD wiped from it; have you guys had any recent issues with either feature? Can you think of another generational feature that never lived up to its promise? Why havent we heard any official word from either party? Is this acceptable as consumers? Thanks for all you do byyyyeee... AlPal

What is the most 'cringe' reaction each of you has had when you've told someone that you work in games media? Or have you been lucky and escaped that uncomfortable sort of judgment from friends/family/strangers?

I've been feeling a bit down about not following through and completing a lot of the games I've played recently, but then it dawned on me that I'm in the process of wrapping up two expansive games in Chrono Cross and Cyberpunk! So I just wanted to put out this reminder to focus on your accomplishments rather than dwelling on things you didn't quite make it to the finish line on. And thanks to you guys for the awesome deepest dive that have made going through Chrono Cross for the first time that much more enjoyable!

Missed joke opportunity from the The Deepest Dive - Chrono Cross (part 3). When the panel was talking about Joe Juba's GI article, "Matching all 45 US Presidents to All Chrono Cross Party Members". Joe said that Grobyc's counter part was Donald Trump because they have the same hair. Someone should have said, "Not my Cyborg."

Hey Minnmaxers I was a massive fan of the original tomb raider. I was one of the three people to own it on a Saturn. With the sale of Tomb Raider and other IPs. Would you like to see a remake of the original Tomb Raider? And how would you go about it to keep the feel while modernising it. Feel free to pick a different IP from the sale if you want.
