Hello everybody! At the start of the year we reinvented the $50 tier on Patreon and it became the "Game Champion" tier. If you jump up to that tier, even for a month, you can choose any game under the sun and become its Champion. We give you a shout-out on The MinnMax Show podcast, tweet it out to the world, and it's in the description for every MinnMax video and podcast... but that's not all!

Today we're launching The Game Championship! We're taking everybody's picks so far and pitting them against each other in a bracket, with a Twitter poll happening every day until only one remains. We'll then reach out to whoever's game won the final Twitter poll and work with them to create a fun one-off video highlighting the game. This can be a stream, video essay, spoiler podcast, we're up for anything. The winner is welcome to join us for the content or just point us in their preferred direction and then sit back and watch.

So follow MinnMax on Twitter by clicking here and cast your vote! The polls will be happening every day until a victor is crowned.

We'll run a new Game Championship every handful of months, adding up every game submitted by folks at the $50 tier on Patreon along the way. We'd love for you to become a Game Champion in the future, you're welcome to pick anything you'd like, and we look forward to creating content with the first ever winner of The Game Championship!

Also, thanks to Hugo in the community for the new tier art on our Patreon page and at the top of this story!

This is such a fun idea!

Hey, thanks Erin! We wanted to find an extra way to celebrate everybody who jumped up to that $50 tier!

I love it! With that said, i am friggin toast 😅

Pligge guiding MM in an attempt through Superman 64 could be *fantastic*, ha

So many great choices! ... and I didn't know you could still play Ultima Online. :o Watching three MM hosts/contributors playing through the Witch Queen opening campaign mission — legit fantastic content — as a fireteam would make my inner Guardian sing. (Or whatever, this expansion has a lot of great stuff to dive into!)

I wish I hadn't switched from Jak 2

There are many heavyweights on this list, but I will fight for Illusion of Gaia (Time) every time. Fun concept!

For a second there, I thought there was an obscure indie game I missed because of "Jonathan - Smite"

I like the idea! Do I get to join in with Puzzle Fighter or did I join in too late?

Anonymous

It's unfortunate that this may devolve into our popularity contest due to many people never having played older games. I hope people actually investigate the picks and not just vote for the game you're familiar with.

What a cool idea. Another example of wonderful community focus.

Great catch, I forgot to add your late addition to the list. We got you now, sorry!

I’m going with my boy Roger on this one. Super Castlevania IV has the greatest theme song of all time.
