Is the intro Cinematic to Final Fantasy VIII (yes that's right, 8) the best intro Cinematic in all of video games?

Hey crew, Last weekend i made the rookie mistake of grabbing a hot pan with my bare hand and burning my thumb and fingertips. This has stopped my progress in Horizon Forbidden West dead in its tracks. Have you ever had a physical injury or ailment that completely halted you ability to play games? And how difficult was it for you?

Hello all! I’d love to hear you all talk about feature-creep in games. I’ve been thinking about revisiting some older gen games but I don’t want to deal with fuel management in XCOM 2, nor build an army in Shadow of War, nor the million different ways of asking, “are your survivors happy” in State of Decay 2. Bigger isn’t always better, ya know? What are some feature-creepy games that got on your bad side? Why do you think it’s so tough for devs to determine when less is more?

If I’m able, I’d like to take this opportunity to point out that Itch.io currently has a bundle with a minimum price of $10 where all proceeds go to supporting Ukraine charities. I think this might be my answer for last week’s question about what fo you love about video games.

Hiya Ben + CLCs, Thanks for putting down Elden Ring long enough to record another excellent episode. In memory of my other favorite video game podcast, (New Player Has Joined) its time for another round of everyone's favorite game: "Can You Guess the Name of the Video Game Based on How Someone Who Doesn't Play Video Games Described it to Us?" The rules are simple, someone who knows nothing about videogames watches us play, without any context, and tries to describe what they're seeing to us. Based on how they describe it, can you guess what game they're watching. You get 4 hints and can guess after each hint. Good luck. Round 1 Hint 1: the look but don't touch petting zoo game Hint 2: the 1 where R2-D2 goes to burning man. I assume this is what burning man looks like. I've never been to burning man Hint 3: the year is 2049 and science has finally discovered laser pointers Hint 4: bioluminecent dude does the wave but there's nobody around so the efforts wasted Answer: No Man Sky Round 2 Hint 1: helicopters are all about butts and this game proves it Hint 2: I am to tired to walk nappy game Hint 3: can't kill a bad guy? get Santa to give him a deadly gift from above Hint 4: the desert just has puppies? Let's go to the desert Answer: Metal Gear Solid 5 Round 3 Hint 1: sad Pac-Man needs Christmas pancakes right now Hint 2: your Russian nesting dolls are propelled by their own farts, to much of their own product Hint 3: why does the end timer swear at me every time? Hint 4: did these vegetables murder their father? Answer: Overcooked

Hiya MinnMax, What are the odds we discover extraterrestrial life in our lifetime?

Hello Cohorts! My kids got me Kena for my birthday and we have been loving it. They LOVE the hats and the rot. And it’s gotten me super excited to get them all. What is your favorite collectible from a game? After these hats my next one for me has to be my living Pokédex.

Greetings Tarnished, I’m wondering if any of you think that Sony is now on a fast track to make Bloodborne 2 since the overwhelming reaction and praise for Elden Ring? It’s been rumored for a while but now would be a great time to cash that check. Thoughts?

Hey Minnmaxers! First of all, congratulations to Sarah for making Twitch partner. My question is an odd one, recently I have had the most vivid dreams. (I chalk it up to quitting the jazz cabbage as my New Years resolution) The weirdest one was I had dreamed I had somehow married Ben Hanson. The dream consisted of me constantly running away or making excuses to avoid consummating our marriage (as I couldn’t be straighter if I tried) and trying to work out how to break the news to my girlfriend. My question is have you all ever had a dream so vivid that you woke up believing it was real? P.S the wedding was nice haha

Hello Minnmax!! Would you rather play an online game with bad Internet or a game using a joycon with drift?
