Yo,

Ok... real talk: v0.21 is gearing up to be the best looking update yet. I'm taking my time on this one to do it justice. Hopefully that doesn't translate into a million months of development but I do want to show off what I've been working on because I'm kinda excited about it.

First off, the park is my nemesis. It's a beautiful landscape and with moonlight added and stuff, it makes for some striking lighting effects. Now add in my new Depth of Field additions that we saw just at the end of the last update and this is what to expect visually in v0.21. However, this area is a total resource hog and the renders are sloooooow and i get frequent crashes. But, it should be worth it with shots like this.

I'm getting braver and more creative with the camera and stuff and I like that. Remember, this is all practice for the remake. So hopefully when you see the progress bar ticking up really slowly, you remember this is where the expectations are this time around.

I been wanting to share this for like a week now but I didn't wanna spam last month with all the pic series.

My English is not good, so the following words are translated by translation software. You can handle the rendering of the park like this. If the background does not move, but the human action changes, you can choose to render separately. First, only one picture with a park background is rendered, and then different actions of the characters are rendered separately. Of course, the lights should be retained. This will save you a lot of time. Maybe you have already thought of this method.

The rendered image of the model is output in PNG format, and then the model and background are synthesized by Photoshop

2023-07-28 14:38:18 Yep, basically this could be an option but the problem is when you render them separately, you lose shadows so it can become easy to see that you have a park full of trees that cast shadows but the characters would not cast a shadow because they were rendered without a background. That can be an option to get it done without the hardware. However, right now that should be less of an issue now that I have a newer computer. My park shots are taking like 12 minutes now rather than 6-10 hours so that's helped immensely. I do have some more complex shots planned but we'll see if the new rig can handle that. If not, I may be using your trick and hoping for the best. Thanks for the tip though. I appreciate it <3
