Hey all,

It's been awhile so I wanted to check in. As with most of my DevLog messages, this will be kinda long to give you an idea of where I'm at. Some of you may have stumbled across reply comments on the page here and have an idea but I wanted to make some formal statement.

Status

Build v0.6 is currently in the works and I'm assuming it will be the largest update to date. For those of you on the Patreon app, you may have seen that I upgraded my video card, increasing some production. While this increased the speed of renders, it's somewhat been offset by my desire to try and increase quality (i.e. lighting effects). Some of these adjustments are working and others I really suck at. Thus, as I have stated from launch, I am not professional and this is only a hobby. I'm learning as I go. 

To date, the current build has 40 new CGs already in the story with another 20 in my portable drive already finished that I haven't incorporated yet because the writing isn't up to that point yet. That being said, we're only halfway through the month and I have a lot more things planned for this update. So expect even more CGs than previous updates.

The Bad News

Someone asked about a week ago when the next update will be. I wasn't sure then and I'm not sure now. While my goal is shortly after the first of the month, this is a bigger update with more goals in mind that I want to accomplish. Like previous updates, I have enjoyed getting to a "stopping place" before I end the update. I have that point in mind but it's still a ways off from where the writing and CGs are now. Does this mean the update will be late? Not entirely but I just don't know yet until I actually get words on paper to see how things pan out. I have an outline for the story but things tend to go differently as I write and get more into the characters. 

The Good News

The good news is that some of those new CGs will be similar to the one above. Because of the repetition of the daily schedules, I incorporated random events into the past few updates. I want to keep that going here but I also want to change and add some new CGs so that these events are not just "worded" randomly but now have some visual changes as well. Using the above CG as an example, you can note the textbook on the bed. In this scene Braden is now studying in bed rather than at the desk all the fucking time.

While hopefully breathing some fresh air into the new chapter, these extra CGs will take more time and planning, slowing down the production a bit. How much? I don't know yet but it's something I wanna add and felt it was important, particularly to those who have criticized the early updates with the "stat grind" and repetition. 

The Even Better News

For those of you horn dogs that keep a box of tissue close to the desk when playing games like this, the next update will have more skin in it. How much? I'm not telling yet but our story will move more in natural direction as our characters get more comfortable. Thus, if the update is late, I'm hoping the extra CGs, story, and skin will be a consolation. Those of you who have been sexually frustrated and teased to death by the camera angles thus far, will find yourself most likely enjoying the game more moving forward. Story will still be my primary focus but there will be more gratuitous nudity.

Summary

If the update is going to be later than usual, I plan to keep you all posted, linking more CGs to prove that I'm actively involved in the project. On a personal level, I am working an internship now on top of school and work so my stress level has been significantly increased. To me, I would rather launch the updates completed rather than rush something out just to meet my past goals and deadlines.

For those of you who use the app, I've posted a few pictures on the "Story" (they call it a lens) of some behind-the -scenes stuff. Usually, it's me fucking things up and just putting my incompetence on blast. It's not every day but I actually have been posting more than I thought I would.
