Hello everyone!

I'm very excited to show you something that has been taking me away sleeping hours for a couple of weeks 😂.

For those that know me for a very long time (Sims 2 era) you may know that I had a website called CoolSims. It was the only place where I had my creations until TSR asked me to be a Featured Artist. Since then, the website has been pretty much abandoned but I kept paying for the domain because for me it's something very important.

I was 13 when I decided that I wanted to learn 3D modeling, and when I managed to learn the basics I felt I needed a place to share my creations with the world, and social networks wasn't a thing back in the day. I used to post things on a Spanish sims forum, and some time later I shared my creations in other international sims forums, but I wanted to have something trully personal, and that's when CoolSims was born.

The thing is, this website and everything that comes with it has played a big role in my life as a kid, and I was sad that I left it catching dust for so long, but these last couple of weeks I've been feeling like that kid again while playing with the website and designing everything that is on it, and it also helped me to distract from some issues I had, so it's a double win haha.

Anyway, I think it's time to show you what I had in the oven hahaha.

Patreon Integration

The site is built using Wordpress, my previous website was built using Joomla and previous ones basic php and html. The good thing of wordpress is that it comes with a huge list of plugins and there's an official Patreon one, so now you all can log in with Patreon and download all the content from there. You can't comment there because I didn't know how to add the comment system, but you can still do it here as your comments encourage me a lot to keep creating 🥰❤️.

PS: I haven't tested the patreon integration yet because I need a patron for that so, if you encounter any issue let me know and I'll fix it as soon as I can.

The Menu

I tried to make everything as visual as possible. Starting with the menu, the first thing we see is The Chromatic Collection, which to this day it's the core of my creations, and a very important thing (because without it you know what happens, white/red sims with question marks 😂). In the center we have the latest hairstyles, in case you missed a few you can find them easily there, and at the right other creations that are less frequent, and my ancient creations from the sims 2 and 3 era. Yep, I also uploaded those, it was so entertaining uploading over 100 old hairs that no one will download hahaha.

The Chromatic Collection

I dedicated a whole page to it, trying to explaing everything step by step, using examples of how it works and creating a form (with help 😂) that gives you the exact package you need, so there's no confussion about which file you have to download. Most of you don't need this as you've been here for a long while, but for new people it will make their lives easier. I'm sorry for the headaches hahaha.

And... The website header for this section shows the colours of my chromatic wheel. It's 100% useless, but I love it 😂. Not to mention that I spent a whole day figuring out how to make it hahaha.

The Gallery

No more endless list of posts. I still wonder why Patreon hasn't figured out a different way to show posts... but that's not an issue anymore. Now all creations are displayed in a gallery with images, and nothing else.

Item Page

Each item has its own page where you can see all the info about it, including categories and tags. Aaaand you can click on them and the page will show you all the items inside those categories, so if you're looking for hairs that work with children, just click the child tag and the website will do the rest 😊.

Useless things, part 2. The header shows a blurred version of the item, and the title has the 3D effect from my previews, because why not? 😂.

Search

There's a search box in the home page that you can use to look for the items you need instead of having to spend time checking all the pages to find it.

No more corrupted files

This is one issue that has been giving me so many headaches. Instead of accessing directly to the file, now it's Wordpress who manages the file, making sure you get it without missing a byte. A patron who had issues with the direct links tested it for me and it worked, so I hope this also applies to those that also had issues with them.

So that's it!

I hope you like it, I've put so much effort on this and I wanted to offer you the best I can make. I'm very grateful for having you all, for all your support, and for staying with me all this time, and for using my creations. Thank you a million times ❤️

And to finish this post, the website link 😂

Love the new look on the website 😍 It truly looks amazing :D I noticed though (idk if it's intended or something not working as it's supposed to). But with your older hairs that are public posts either on patreon or TSR, the download link can't be interacted with, even after logging in with patreon, it still says I have to pledge to your patreon. So it seems people who haven't pledged to your patreon, can't download anything, or interact with a download button in any way. Not even the older things. I tried with your old Ángela hair because i know that one is public and on TSR.

I am hahaha. So you're a sims veteran then 😂 It makes me incredibly happy to hear that people have been following for this long 🥹 thank you a thousand times ❤️❤️❤️
