The most mysterious song on the internet (Patreon)

I don't remember exactly where or how I heard about this, it's someone named Gabriel who has been looking for the artist and title of this song for years.

Apparently it was broadcast on a German radio station in the 80's, someone taped the show and then years later put it online to see if anyone knew the song. I first listened to it and just thought "just a standard 80's demo song, maybe the band disbanded or didn't have any aspirations outside recording a demo". But after a few weeks I noticed the song got stuck in my head. And then I'd find myself rechecking the video and comments to see if anyone tracked down who recorded it.
I recorded a cover of it (mainly to get the damn thing out of my head), took me about half an hour I suppose. I guessed the lyrics and I had to sing it an octave higher so it kinda loses the charm of the original.
I think this guy Gabriel is a bit obsessed with finding out who wrote and recorded it, so if you have any leads, be sure to get in touch via his YouTube channel.
