Hello everyone

The first preview of the year and it is a twofer. As you can see above I threw together the first attempt at the game splash screen and this post will cover one of the major changes mentioned in first preview post. The shape and thus the foundation of the game.

I mentioned that Haven was designed to be long, thin and somewhat even with pointed ends, like a cigar. There are a couple of things that will be different in Horizon that will change how the game will play out.

Currently the plan is for the game to be divided over 6 Chapters instead of 9. There will still be half chapter releases for Patrons and maybe even a 0.5 Demo release. The game will most likely still be the same size as Haven, so each chapter will just be larger in content and thus take longer between releases. This should not be an issue after the deadline/patreon change.

The game will aim for much higher amount of optional content and thus replayability then Hotel and Haven. This is much easier since it is the last game. Easier for the players to give it another go without having to think about more games after this. If Hotel and Haven had 2 playthroughs for choices then Horizon is aiming for 4-6 for all content and endings.

There are a lot of things I don't want to spoil until you get into the game, but the next preview will go into choices, endings and the metrics. I talked about these a while back, but will talk about them a bit more specific and how they are going to work. Some of you might want to know how to work towards something specific.

Have a lovely week
