FAQ and Help - Public Post (Patreon)

Hello everyone

This collects common information and help. The post below adds some more that are only relevant to Patrons. I will add more over time. For quick acces you can find these post in the Tag section on the side.

Q: The game file is getting blocked by my anti virus software.

A:  The virus flag has been an issue for a long time with Adrift.

The VirusTotal list has 14/65 engines detecting a generic flag. It does not contain any known trojans, but just parts of code that might look like one. I fully understand the hesitation, but sadly there isn't much I can do other then comfirm that I have added nothing to the Adrift runner other then text and images. You can work around this by adding the file or the folder the file is downloaded to as an excemption in your anti virus software.

Q: When I load a save file I am getting a key or tool error.

A: This can happen and there is a workaround that works in most cases. Close the popup. Click on the mapwindow and then click on any location on the map. This should continue where you left off. Q: I don't like how the windows are placed in the game or the size of them.

A: You can rearrange them by just dragging them around. Since the images are square it is preffered to have a window to match that and fit the text and map. I have a video to show my personal setup. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aW7Voylav1o 

Q: What are Cumulative Rewards?

A: Instead of getting rewards based on how much you give me each month you unlock rewards over time. You get the first one (Discord access) by just giving a dollar. 

Q: What is so special about Discord access at one dollar?

A: Besides early access, votes on content as a Patron, the permanent Discord access gives you quick help with any issues (as long as I am awake), images connected to posts and most important Hidden Hints and Lore Snippets that lead towards the hidden ending of Horizon.
