DevelUpdate #042 - Discordia Digest (Patreon)

As you have noticed I like my alliterations and puns. This is not going to stop any time soon and this Update is going to cover different topics, one of them being the worst one yet.

First are some updates to Discord. I have added it as the first reward for every Patron and going forward I will be posting some small snippets of lore,  flavour texts and a new entries called Himeros Hidden Hint Hunt on Discord. This is a little mystery that has been in the works for over a year. I can't say more about it right now. I will post more entries over the coming months as we move through development of Horizon and things should make more sense towards the end. 

Regarding Discord, if you have joined the server it would help if you could change your nick to match you Patron name or let me know who you are. If you don't want to join Discord that is fine as well, you won't miss anything, just send me a message here and I will let you know if I ever post anything really important there.

Next topic of the day is the crossover to Horizon. Chapter 9 should release early next year and once again it will contain a save transfer number like Hotel that will carry over your choices to the next game. Since I am currently writing the last events in Chapter 8 while also planning Chapter 9 I am getting a better image of what will be important to carry over. Not looking forward to the math involved. The math and the testing. Might be the only feature that I can't just send out to you and patch later :)

Last but not least is Chapter 8 itself. We are getting close. There are only so many pieces left of the puzzle and I am currently shuffling some around to try and balance the content between the last two chapters. Í had some tricky times finding some images I really needed, but the writing has been surprisingly easy as the characters feel like family by now. The last big choice I have left before the final code and writing push is how harsh the cliffhanger should be :)
