Why is Afterschool Meeting Taking So Long? Fur. (Patreon)

I've had people asking me about my Halloween DAZ3D comic Afterschool Meeting and wondering why it isn't complete yet. The truth of the matter is that I am working on it, but I've run into a significant problem. Namely, the fur on my werewolf.

Hair is something that typically renders much slower in 3Delight, and when a character has a body that's covered in hair/fur, that slows it down even more. The recent renders I made for this latest page ran over four hours to render fully, and there are still some pages to go.

So, yes. I am still working on it, despite the fact that I have the attention span of a flashbulb. But I thought I'd take a moment to explain what the problem is.

Sigh...I wish Filament had been an option back when I started this comic. That thing renders in mere seconds...
