Actually... for those who might wonder, the end of this game actually did get me choked up a bit. I felt a little silly about it later, but... well, here's the result.

One of the best play-through video series that I've ever watched. Well done bird!

Poor 2. I remember you getting letters about shitty parents all the time on 2 Sense. I'm a writer myself, but I got lucky and had parents who encouraged creativity in me. If nothing else, it helps keep me motivated, because I feel like I want to live up to their belief in me. If nothing else 2, I'm sure you made a better parent to some people, than the asshats they were born with. I know I sure as hell learned a lot from you. I was gonna post this on youtube, but I felt like it would be better off here.

You're being too generous! I'm very glad you liked it and I'm hoping to continue on and improve my playthroughs as I learn more.

My parents usually discouraged any artistic pursuits I had. I wanted to be a CGI animator when I was a kid. And later, a musician. They would tell me, "Aww, you can't get a job doing that. Why not be a doctor?" I hope I can give other young people hope where my parents didn't.

Played this game myself not too long ago, and I must say I've greatly enjoyed watching this series! This was a somewhat unexpected finale, but that doesn't mean it's bad. On the contrary, this was a much better ending to this series than I expected. It's a kind unpleasant good to share these kinds of emotions with someone, even if it's just blinking lights in a box. There are a few other games in this "genre" know as "walking simulator" that you might enjoy: The beginners guide, Dear Ester and The Stanley Parable The beginners guide takes just about 90min to play thru. It's not a "fun" game, but it's very much an experience. I won't spoil the game, but I will say, don't play it a day you're feeling down. Dear Esther is similar to Ethan Carter, but it has less interactions and, in my opinion, even better soundtrack. The Stanley Parable is a game you either love or hate. It has a demo that's free and doesn't take to long to get thru. And, interestingly, the demo is not "the first 30 min" of the main game, but a separate yet representative demo for the full game. It's much less serious with a most amazing british narrator. Oh, and try clicking on room 430 five times!

There's nothing to feel silly about in experiencing emotions from an emotional scene or idea that touches your feelings. There are some pieces of music in the furry fandom that can make me outright sob because they touched my emotions so deeply whether they are feelings of happiness, bittersweet sadness, or whatever. Rather than feel silly about it, I feel great admiration for the artists who could create such amazing compositions that can carry those feelings and transmit them to the mind of the listener. (Only one is vocal, and it's sung in a non-existent language, and is accompanied by an amazing piece of artwork to go along with the story behind the music.) Some games try too hard to get an emotional response out of the player (such as Overblood, which tried to create sentiment over a droid that went kaput), but others can touch the player without even trying.

Oh yes, I very much admire the game creators and writers of Ethan Carter for putting together such a well crafted story!

This playthrough was indeed very enertaining. You're doing a great job, 2! Just keep doing this. :> And I would be be the last guy to mock you about crying. I learned myself, that sometimes, it feels actually good to cry about some things, that are really worth to shed some tears. ^^
