Hulu is just Disney and only in the states to separate the Disney "brand". Internationally, Disney is just Disney......hence why in the states there's so much k content on Hulu

and you nailed it....the show (and the sudden blackout scene changes) are very deliberate to keep with the webtoon. The webtoon is VERY fast paced scene after different scene. On a side note, it's wild watching along dramas with you bc there are actors you don't know and do know and it's so random. Or more like, you know actors from like AGES ago then a break then actors in current dramas you're watching/have watched for patreon. It's just kinda funny you would know Ryu Seung Ryong but not Han Hyo Joo (who is just as much a serious movie actress but just happens to also be a leading lady drama actress)

The cut to black you noticed isn’t in the version I have on (non American) Disney+ so I think it might just be a Hulu thing? There’s still a cut there but the music doesn’t have that weird fading out going on and there’s no black screen

I’ve been waiting for y’all to react to this but, it feels really weird to watch you act normal while there’s sooo much ppl on here asking for a response to their concerns!! I am not pissed with you, I’m not leaving ur patreon but rn I would appreciate a post clarifying what will be posted for the rest of the month, it could be 5 videos, even 1 or none, but pls be clear for those who are still expecting something from you besides drama/anime club! I mean no harm in y’all, actually the total opposite! I don’t want to put pressure on you to record something you don’t feel like to watch or listen at the moment! but you do owe respect to those who are staying or not asking for a refund even tho they’re in their right to do it [I don’t need the update for me lol, I just feel really bad for everyone else :’(]

I’m pretty sure the blackout screens are not intentional by the series makers, comparing the version on the Disney+ I have and this version there are differences Looking up plans Hulu offers I’m almost certain that there is meant to be an ad put in these places by Hulu on one of their lower tier plans. In the first one after it cuts to the bus you can hear the final note of the music being played from the scene prior to the cut, there is no disruption like this in the international version

That’s pretty poor on Hulu’s part then, gives it a different vibe entirely and they way they butchered that music over it was really distracting

it's such a great show! i absolutely loved it until the last couple of episodes where it got too actiony for my taste, but the story is so good and it definitely made me cry multiple times. so excited to hear your guys' thoughts during a particular arc! :D

I’m not sure if this is a good comparison to the weird editing and your description of microcosms of moments (if I even am understanding that concept correctly), but maybe Extraordinary You is similar but slightly different editing because it’s whole scenes that are skipped too with this weird noise that sounds like you’re turning a comic book page. I won’t say anymore because it’ll be spoilers if you ever want to watch it. Rowoon from SF9 is a main character there and the actor who plays Jang Uk in Alchemy of Souls as well.
