he’s known to sound fluent in every language he sings in! even spanish!! in his first mini album he even sang a spanish version of one of the bsides and an english version to the title track and he sounded amazing!

on D.O's debut album, "Empathy," he has the english version of his title track "Rose" and tbh he sounds pretty american on that track or at least completely fluent. He even has the SPANISH version of one of the other bsides called "Si Fueras Mia". I've seen many spanish speakers say that if they didn't know who D.O was, they would think he was completely fluent and maybe even that it was his first language. So his ability to mimic truly is no joke that's for sure. I definitely recommend checking out Si Fueras Mia as well

Finally! I’ve been waiting for this bonus reaction! Please do what you mentioned and check out his solo work - BOTH Albums!! His first album has an English song and a Spanish song, a definite RARE TREAT! He deserves so much more exposure than what he’s getting. He’s amazing, in many ways! PS. D.O. always had that blank stare that you mentioned, because he had a stigmatism and couldn’t see very well. It’s mentioned in one of the guides you can hopefully check out! He recently had Lasix surgery so his visions better, which may be why he looks more comfortable.

Nah I think D.O.'s always sounded really good while singing in English although he definitely has improved over the years. Even in the early days of debut, you can listen to his cover of Boyfriend by Justin Bieber as he sounds almost perfect in English. I haven't ever seen D.O. speak much English doe except like in commercials they've done where he says his line in like almost perfect English. He seems to have great pronunciation probably from listening to a lot of English music but I don't think he can speak it fluently.

The opening song thing, i think its more like baekhyun shows of in the title tracks, trying to lure new people in because he is one of the “more” popular members, kyungsoo is known for it inside of the fandom if that makes sense? Also i hope you check out exos solo albums! (i would recomend baekhyuns bambi album because you havent heard the title track and he shows of his vocals the most) :))

please react to exo’s cream soda recording and D.O’s first debut album (Empathy) as well. In that album, there’s an english version of Rose and a Spanish version of It’s Love called Si Fueras Mía. He basically sang like a native singer in both languages and it was amazing. You should really react to his Empathy album.

The whole mimicry thing, for me the more obvious moment was when he said “mum”, it sounded weirdly British. Also, besides the reaction, i related a lot with PD’s commentary on learning another language, the way he described learning korean was exactly the way i learned English. I learned a bit of grammar in school, but the English taught in class was very superficial and boring, so i liked learning better by myself with music. I saw a TED Talk from a polyglot in which she said that the better way to learn a language is finding a method that makes it interesting for you.

Honestly ever since debut i get obsessed with every little english covers that D.O did because he just sound so good in english. He definitely sounds so fluent for someone who don't really speak english from what I remember.

D.O literally has the most incredible voice, if you get a chance please listen to his song Tell me (what is love) with Yoo Young Jin, he’s such a powerhouse in it! Everything D.O does whether is be acting singing or dancing I’m just obsessed
