Glad to see Blaire in this reaction. I think many FEARNOTs consider this to be their most favorite LENIVERSE episode so far because of how fun and chaotic this turned out to be 😆

LSRF is just funny in all of their content, wish I could be in Korea for their fancon right now. I kind of disagree about them being a household overnight considering what happened during their debut, but they made it through their documentary, contents, AKARAKA, antifragile then their award shows. Next thing I hope they do is make a clothing line brand cause their merch is just so good and wearable, also their branding already that good too.

On debut they really rely on wizones and sakura star power. If any other group debut with that mess with the Garam controversy. They will have a hard time making a comeback. It's just Antifragile was a really good song. They became a household name for me when award season came. Every single performance blew people away.

Question! As I was never a WIZONE, but with that rhetoric are we to believe that they probably wouldn't have made it this far without that star power int he beginning because of the controversy? Like if they were just HYBEs new gg without Chaewon and Sakura as "known" names do you think that they would have gotten to this point? With their current personalities, concept, variety etc, but without the name that comes with the IZ*ONE girlies? And this isn't like a 'do you think they wouldn't be successful without her ?" question, I just truly don't know how big Sakura + IZ*ONE was pre-lessarafim outside of the girls new debuts (all of the members that are currently still active). But more like do you think that with Garam's controversy, the fact that HYBE had Sakura and Chaewon + the fame they came with is the only thing that saved them?

Yes, i do believed that notion. Let's try to recall what happened in scandal. The controversy started right after Garam was revealed as a member. Which was a month prior debut. Garam was 2nd member revealed in the group. If Sakura wasn't a member then the chances are high that Garam could the first member to be reveal. Just imagine the uphill battle in promotions if that were to happen? They could have negatively impact their preorder numbers. There were two main talking points on Le Sserafim debut. First was the controversy. Second was Sakura, Chaewon and to a lesser extend Yunjin debuting as a group. Remove the second, all discussion will only be the controversy. That's PR a nightmare. Week by week the controversy escalated until days before the debut, a school document is partially reveal proving in some way the allegations. In any other group, this will be a death flag. But not Le Sserafim, because of wizones. Because they prior experience to controversy, you know Produce scandal. They are very loyal bunch that in fact led to being notice by other fandoms. Because they actual made extreme effort to saved iz*one with sales made in the Fiesta comeback. Beating Twice and Blackpink in first week sales which put a target on iz*one back. Which led to the fandom to become more loyal escalating their sales numbers again. I also mention Sakura star power because for some unknown reason Sakura is really popular to China. We could safely assume that 35-40% of the sales of Le Sserafim debut came from Sakura fans in China. From what i've gather Chinese fandom focus too one their preferred member. So this have helped the group in the sales as well. Still even with the buffer of iz*one fame could not stop the negative talk surrounding the controversy. By week 3, Garam stop promotions. Imagine that without Sakura and Chaewon. Negativity has it's way of disrupting growth. Just take Kep1er for example, most negative stems from Bahiyyih fans. Which constantly complain a lot of things for their favorite member which has led to people not liking the group. You can see the effect that has led downward trend in sales as they made a comeback. I think that could have apply to Le Sserafim had controversy continues top hound the group constantly.
