my fav song is also farewell, neverland!!!!! its so bittersweet and makes such a perfect job of wrapping up this ep. one thing ive felt since their last ep with gbgb is how good their team as a whole has gotten at storytelling with their music. also vocally I feel like they all showed something very different in comparison to their previews songs. like u said the vocals were what truly added the sexy element to this ep!!!! and im so proud of them they seem like such professionals now (theyve always been but something shifted this comeback). anyway I really enjoyed this thank u :~}

My favorite song is the same as yours. Personally my MVPs in this album are Beomgyu and Soobin. Even if Beomgyu is my bias, I have the impression that he never shone as much as in this one.

Farewell, Neverland is so beautiful! I love the mysteriousness of the song! Tinnitus is another certified bop, wasn't expecting that genre from them at all. Sadly, the other 2 bsides aren't something I would listen on the regular, but they're not bad songs. Even though it's not my favourite EP from them, I do appreciate the theme of the album and how certain songs are connected in concept! Makes me excited for what they have planned next

my fav was originally tinnitus, but after seeing the stage for devil by the window i am now OBSESSED with that song i think the entire album is so unique and amazing that it’s hard to hold one favorite for too long lol

It will never cease to crack me up that in your freeze listening party when you first heard magic that you ended up basically calling it a less good version of new rules😆 I think it’s the perfect example of how much tastes and enjoyment of songs can develop over time and listening, and also how much a music video can impact your opinion of a song hehe

also from the first few seconds of farewell, neverland in their track list teaser video I instantly knew it was overtaking lovesong as my all time favourite txt track. there is something so insanely beautiful about the painful yet freeing acceptance of leaving neverland and growing up - of knowing that’s a chapter of your life closed and over but still with the knowledge that you have a brand new one to embark on when you get on that boat like they do at the end of the sugar rush ride mv. It instantly went into my ‘songs to cry to while smiling’ playlist because I can’t help but sob with a bittersweet grin on my face whenever I sit down and properly take it in and listen

I’m genuinely so in love with this album and so glad to see that you enjoyed it too. I’m always so amazed how these boys and their team manage to out do themselves every comeback, but somehow they manage. My MVPs are definitely Soobin and Beomgyu - I feel like their vocals were able to shine so well in this album and I feel they’ve also gained new confidence performance wise which really shows. Since the comeback Soobin has been saying that he was really worried when they were told they were going to be doing a sexy concept as he felt that he wouldn’t be able to pull it off but omg he did such an amazing job!!

I agree with you PD my choices were Soobin and Beomgyu I thought wow like they improved soooo much I think I just always expected and knew yeonjun, kai and taehyun were good, but i was really surprised with them. When you get a chance you should also look at the live stages for Devil by the window and Sugar rush ride. This is my favorite album by them for the longest time it was there second album with Runaway but this was soo mature and really good I feel like a whol proud sister lol! My rankings I think would be: 1. Happy Fools 2. Farewell Neverland 3. Tinnitus and Sugar Rush Ride 4. Devil By The Window This album is 100% a 10/10 thank you sooo much PD for reacting to this!

So glad you loved Farewell, Neverland as much as I and so many other moas did! It’s truly the mvp of this album 😭 overall I really enjoyed the “Peter Pan” concept of the album and how every track was so different yet blended together seamlessly. And I def agree that Soobin was out of this WORLD with his vocals! He never gets his flowers I swear 😭 but this time around he said he was gonna be the star of the damn show 🤣 Can’t wait to see this live and I hope you can too, PD <3

TXT’s albums get progressively better. I loved the GBGB ep since it tickled my nostalgia so much but I think you hit it on the head of the matter when you said that you preferred this album because you GREW UP with the sound of GBGB so while it will probably always have a special place in my heart (Thursday’s Child is probably my Magic), I found this album more compelling. But seriously, TXT has been producing no skip albums one after another. My track ranking is pretty much the same as yours, but I might prefer Sugar Rush Ride over Happy Fools. They performed Farewell, Neverland for it’s live! You should check it out, I loved their live vocals for this track. They did Sugar Rush Ride as well, and it was so nice to see how all of them were rocking out and letting loose, especially Soobin. Good luck with your future endeavours, PD! I think if you’re up for it, it would be really interesting if you did some vlogs of the move to Korea and stuff so we could see the process. Hope things go smoothly, and good luck with music! I’m rooting for you.

definitely one of my favorite album from tubatu as well ! I'm happy you enjoyed it my top2 are also farewell Neverland and tinnitus I'm literally addicted and not a day goes by I don't listen to those... so far its aoty for me, but as expected from txt; the album is doing so well on charts too and breaking so many records aaaaaah I truly feel so proud ps: tinnitus is actually afrobeat ! a lot of people seem to get it confused with raggaeton but they're different eheh

Thank you for your reaction on this album. I understand why you pick Soobin as your mvp. I love his voice in this album especially in Farewell Neverland. I think many of us are too accustomed with his falsetto but in Farewell Neverland he showcase more of his natural voice which is sort like deep voice -- he seldom showcase in TXT song (i have heard it when he sang Hawaiian Couple during his Music Bank MC debut stage). I really love his natural singing voice. Eversince Good Boy Gone Bad, I think Slow Rabbit finally found the perfect tone and part for Soobin to showcase his falsetto in uptempo song as main part instead of like background or ad-lib. As for fav song of the album, Farewell Neverland is my Top 1. The rest in Top 2.

In case PD still doesn't know: the overall theme of the album is Peter Pan, hence the "Devil By the Window" is Peter, tempting them away from their normal lives (and if you think about it, Peter Pan is really a kidnapper, so that explains the dark tone of the song). If you watch the performance (they posted an official video today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u50XFKHJKY&list=WL&index=44) it ends with Beomgyu falling asleep on that sharp inhale, then SSR begins with an exhale as he wakes up on the beach in Neverland - which is where the MV takes place, not the garden of Eden - and the song is about the amazing and trippy experience but has an underlying darkness that's always in the back of your mind. And of course, Farewell, Neverland is their bittersweet goodbye to the crazy, magical times they had there when they grow up and return to the real world. DBTW is my personal favorite on the album, although that's definitely influenced by the fantastic choreography. And yes, our favorite bread-loving boy has grown a lot both vocally and in his sexy, charismatic stage presence.

you should totally check out their perf on it's live for farewell, neverland! I don't really like how they make the sound on this show, they clean it too much IMO, but it's still really nice to hear them live. I loved the album tho... the more I listen to it the more I love it to the point that it's getting hard to pick a favorite. Like SRR is super catchy but not annoying, it's addictive, balanced, and perfect. Happy fools has it's spice thanks to Koi Leray, and it's super fun! Tinnitus is reeeeeeally sexy but also I get really sad listening to it lol, and Farewell neverland daaaamn, its so emotional and I have so many feelings for it. These 4 songs constantly compete for the #1 title lol. I think FN gotta win tho, the number of times I listened to it. I really want to witness it live ;( (don't really care for the DBTW lol) But it's amazing how their albums keep getting better and they always bring smth new to the table. I feel like this album is the most mature tho (duh)

It's been just over 2 months since this EP came out, and still i cannot pick a fav track. I especially loooove Beomgyu's vocals on Tinnitus, just as PD noticed! As for the very end of the reaction where PD talks about his EP "MVP" picks - i could't agree more. It was very interesting what PD said about Soobin and his approach to "sexiness" - an emotional sexiness that is very nuanced. Thats a VERY interesting way to see it, i wouldn't have thought of that. Also him being blonde for a few months greatly visually elevated his sexiness fooooor suuuure.
