Thank you very much for making the video available again. Much appreciated!!!

Oh eu aumentei meu nível apenas para assistir a esse show, existe a possibilidade de recarregá-lo por favor?

I really loved this episode, for me these 3 performances were my fav out of the 6 and I particularly loved btobs one the most I think!!

Mesha ✌︎

00:16 it was o sole mio not now or never lol but it;s okay

Calida

LOVE TO SEE IT

Mesha ✌︎

my personal rankings are 1/ atz 2/ tbz > they could’ve been no1 if it wasn’t for the fire mistake :( 3/ sf9

formoftherapy

GOD DAMMIT. I kept thinking now or never because i was thinking of the other performance!

Mesha ✌︎

I srsly don't get how all the groups didn't vote for tbz on the their top 3 rankings, for me they didn't deserve to get 0000 points from the groups ranking :( it was one of my faves

formoftherapy

I feel really bad for them. At least with SKZ, vocal mistakes and stuff were barely noticeable and didn't affect the performance negatively overall but man that fire was clearly important to the final part :(

MF

By this point I'm so fed up with this show, all the other controversy aside it made me so mad that 3 members from different groups have to self-isolate for 2 weeks and mnet doesn't seem to care about them, seems like they are going to proceed with the final live ep as scheduled uncaring for the 2 weeks gap in practising.... i'm not even gonna comment on their alleged 'safety measures' they are supposedly following... sorry for going all dark here I just feel so bad for all the groups because the bs mnet is putting them all through is appaling to me.

Mesha ✌︎

1:33:48 it doesn't have to be that every group placed tbz last, it's just non of the groups included tbz in their top 3 ranking. i think this is how it goes, correct me if I'm wrong

Giu Bressani

I really want to see the judges comments to understand what happened with SKZ here, but also, I found it a bit disrespectful (idk if that's the right word here but I can't think of anything else?) of SF9 to not rank TBZ at all when they performed their song. Like, you can dislike the performance but it's some kind of courtesy? idk it just didn't sit well with me

Sakura

Wooyoung here collecting men like Funkos. Friendly reminder he said he’s expert at flirting and can make men fall in love with him. Maybe ATEEZ doesn’t go for sexy concepts but DAMN, that was HOT. Also Seonghwa is that Bit**. He sings, he raps, he dances and he has crazy stage presence. BTW, Wooyung, Yunho and San trio moment was the death of me.

Mesha ✌︎

pd we need your TBZ o sole mio ranking bc you were clearly thinking of tbz first round perf

Sakura

For those who doesn’t follow ATEEZ storyline, this is not regular ATEEZ, is HALA ATEEZ, a revolutionary group that fights against an oppressive government that forbid music, art, ect to suppress human emotions in order to improve efficiency. HALA ATEEZ usually wears fedoras and mask as Hongjoong is seen at the end. The whole point of the performance is to steal the hourglass or cromer from the government to travel between dimension or time (they successfully did and passed it to PIRATE ATEEZ as seen in the Wonderland performance since this is a prequel). I know this stage was inspired in Money Heist (spanish pride here) but the whole plot gives me V for Vendetta vibes and I’m living for it. Even if you are not atiny you can see a cool concept unrelated to the whole ATEEZ storyline and I think that’s amazing. The other groups remembered instantly this performance ends the way Wondeland stage started so even If you don’t know the story you get they’re connected by the hourglass (I think it is Hongjoong himself the one visiting the pirate ship in the other dimension since he wears the fedora at the end). This is just a theory but Hongjoong turns the hourglass in Wonderland to turn back time and defeat the kraken that shipwrecked them in the intro performance. So all of them are connected.

Alex Lee

Yes, you're right. Groups just like "experts" have 3 votes.

My top 3: 1. Ateez - My favourite arrangement and I found the staging very engaging. Also loved that it looked like they had a stunt with San climbing the rope, but without him actually doing anything dangerous. 2. BtoB - I liked that the stage was on the simpler side, while being a very good arrangement of my favourite Stray Kids song. Only negative is that I didn’t personally enjoy Peniel’s rap. 3. iKON - I felt that they really embraced the brief with their interpretation of Inception, and even with fairly large moving set pieces, their staging didn’t feel overly complicated, and still very much like an iKON performance. I liked all the other performances as well, I feel round 2 was much stronger for me than the first round. For me the reasons that the other three performances didn’t make my top three: The Boyz - I loved their arrangement of the song, but I found their concept a little muddled, I didn’t really know what they were trying to convey. SF9 - One of the best stagings of the round, but I personally wish they’d done more to the arrangement of the song. Stray Kids - I loved the live vocals (especially Han), and no matter how much mnet wants me to care, IN’s mistake was tiny and didn’t detract from the performance. I just felt the staging could have been polished a bit more and didn’t engage me as much as some other groups.

Alex Lee

I guess "experts" placed skz last purely because of their song-choice. I don't think it was a bad performance but they did choose the song which highlights vocals. And these "experts" really like to compare some incomparable shits (flashbacks to their unnecessary comments about tbz "disappointed" their fans [fck u mnet] compare to rtk). So they really can place skz low just comparing their vocals to btob's ones.

Malaki.H

For interactions next ep will be exciting!!

mistywolf the dragon rider

I kinda disagree with this, since its a competition with only 4 rounds, there isn't really room to hand out points based on courtesy. I'm not saying I think this system is fair, tbh I think a lot of the groups probably vote for their seniors out of respect too. But I just hope you don't think badly of one group for not voting for a certain group. In the end I'm sure they all still respect each other a lot, it's really just a matter of picking the "best of the best" in their eyes.

Anonymous

This show is somehow making me hate props and storylines in performances lol

Leen

Random question! but dose anyone know what city pd live in? I want to know the time difference

Alex Lee

But the saddest part of this episode for me, personally, just my opinion, yes, I'm biased, that mnet shows tbz's joy like for 2 seconds before showing their disappointed faces after placing last. Like. It was sooooo meaningful for the boyz and us, deobis, to place 2nd in expert evaluation after those comments about not fulfilling expectations after rtk. That fcking expert not just said "I was disappointed" but they said "THEIR FANS might be disappointed". Like it was obviously a freaking lie. "A song of ice and fire" was talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique... (obviously stolen from gaga-sunbaenim) And it just frustrated me how they used "fans" as an excuse to say some critique. So, yes, after this shit they could atleast give more screentime for boyz-who-were-happy-with-their-ranking but instead they use their happy faces as 2-secs-flashback. Thank u and fck u mnet [2]. Btw, thank u, PD! And yes, they finally give us interactions omg

Even though I don’t necessarily agree, I’m not going to question the rankings either because ultimately I can rationalize them pretty well. I definitely believe BTOB should have been first though, their concept was so clear and well done and the vocals were exactly what you’d expect from BTOB. As someone whose only watching kingdom for stray kids, I definitely think they underperformed this round, the stage seemed a little messy to me and concept wasn’t as fleshed out as it could have been. My personal ranking would be: 1. BTOB 2/3. iKON/SF9 (basically tied) 4. ATEEZ 5. SKZ 6. TBZ It’s incredibly unfortunate about The Boyz because their stage was one of the more engaging ones and I’ve probably watched it the most out of all of them but it also seemed disorganized and the concept was lost on me, not to mention the issue with the fire. Overall, I of course enjoyed all the performances and can’t wait to see what they all do next!

christina

I really think it’s unfortunate that the experts specifically asked for skz to tone down the performance set/cut wise then proceeded to rank them so low in a much more stripped back (not as in your face) vocal heavy performance. i agree with your point that much of the ranking from groups and expert are based on spectacle and big stages. i really am proud of skz for showing off their vocals and creating a stage that no one expected, even if it did not rank well. i guess we can’t expect anymore vocal based performances if they are consistently ranked at the bottom :/

joe cooke

"I can't smell minhyuk... thats a dream of mine" wow that killed me

It's really fascinating to read and watch everyone's different opinions of the performances. Many interesting and different views! Personally I would say the impact of the stage heavily affect "how good I think the performance is". I think all the stages were good, but only a few had a lasting impact. For me Skz made the most impact bc they actually hit me in the deep feelings and not just "excitement for a performance", which is ofc great for hype songs! Also I personally felt that skz' and btob's versions of their songs really fitted with their performances. Quite a few of the others I feel you could relatively easily switch out the song with another and still get the same performance. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THOSE PERFORMANCES WERE BAD! They were very Good! It just was my first thought after watching them. I know I'm probably one of few who thinks this but personally I feel there's a small line when it comes to big performances with lots of props and a messy performance. Like it kinda worked with some of the concepts here but it made me at least get put off by the performance as a whole. Like the performances were good but I couldn't truly get awed or drawn in by them. Also would like to say I'm a fan of almost all of the groups and again I think they all did great! And again this is just my thoughts 😅 It'll be interesting to see what the next performances would be like!

ink

I'm really glad you skipped the spoilers. I hate them as well, they really kills any anticipations I have (like I thought Ateez might have covered Bling Bling, or that Huta Scene™ being spoiled 2 weeks before it was even aired). I'm glad you watched the uncut version as well, it's really unfair to judge these performances with the reactions. And I agree on those reactions killing Ateez's momentum. I enjoyed the stage so much more with the full video. And the Hongjoong moment really got me haha, I have no idea what he was telling us to fight for, but heck yea I'll fight for you you funky anarchist. And BTOB hoo boy. I love how they make use of the back door concept by having physical back doors. And yes #HoesForHuta. This performance is my unbiased choice for the best stage of the round as well. But I'm a very biased person, so my no.1 has to be given to Stray Kids. This was partially due to the rumor about them performing this song weeks before the episode, so I was anticipating on how they would do the song, and they just delivered exactly how I hoped and so much more. This concept was my soft spot too. Still, I can see why they are not favored by the votes. Also, on a side note, during the ring section they made 8 (as seen in the display shot), and the 8th one was put on the kid statue. That was very touching and sweet considering the stage's message, but now I miss Hyunjin even more. About the voting, the reason why the results might look confusing is because the voting system is very flawed. Both the experts and the groups can only vote for their top 3 instead of ranking from 1 to 6. And for the self evaluation of this round, BTOB and SF9 both received all 5 votes from other teams, Ikon and Ateez 3, Stray Kids 2, and The Boyz 0. That doesn't mean all groups think The Boyz should rank last, The Boyz was just not on any groups' top 3. Compared to RTK where in the self evaluation each group has 6 (iirc, but it was at least 4) representatives and they got to rank other groups, the voting system in Kingdom leaves so much room for error, but that brings dramas and tractions I guess. But that's enough for mnet usual fuckery, next week we finally have some interactions wooooooo! Can't wait!

Réka O.

I don't but they always refer to the time of the live streams in PST so they're most likely in that timezone

Sandy Cai

Same PD, super don't agree with the experts evaluation especially putting BTOB and SKZ 5th and 6th place. I did enjoyed BTOB's performance the most too.

Réka O.

I kind of hate this show more with every episode. Don't get me wrong, all the performances are amazing and I love the groups so much, but I hate everything else about it. Why can't it be a feel-good show like Queendom? Why is it all devised in a way to make everyone but the first place feel like shit? Does Mnet think we enjoy watching the drama and our favorite groups suffer? Ugh. With that said, I was so sad to see Skz rank so low. This was one of the most emotional performances I've seen by them and I was incredibly touched by it. I also enjoyed the complexity of the story. I don't even want to do a ranking anymore, I enjoyed all of them a lot but I'm fed up with how Kingdom's produced. I'm also wondering when the groups will find out about the global vote rankings and the one based on views, that will be interesting to see

Samantha

I'm back with my essay length opinion of the performances! I had a super long one for last week's 3 performances so if you want to know my previous thoughts to go along with my final ranking, that's where they are! As always I'm someone who watches this show/performances with the experience and opinion of a live theatre professional. Ateez: They did it again. They created something that I feel like fully explains and shows just why they deserve first place. Also, they're really out here proving to me that they are THE 4th gen idol group. So Hongjoong's additions to this iconic (haha) iKon song truly made it only Ateez's by the end of it all. (I personally think tbz and iKon did this last episode as well btw!) The influence of Money Heist on not just the performance but the music as well really shows how much of a creative force Hongjoong and the Edenary team along with BBTrippin really are. The way the Latin influence flowed in so cleanly and subtly into the og track really made me fall in love with this song all over again. It's one of the few iKon songs that I actually listen to whenever it pops up on spotify or something so I was really interested to see where Ateez would take it. Also, the way they incorporated the feel of the modern era along with the Korean history of the feel of censorship and a lack of a voice from the common people shows Hongjoong and his awareness and willingness to talk about current events which we don't see as often in idols. Overall, this was a 9.5/10 for me. It would be a 10/10 but the ending just wasn't enough for me personally. I'll have to think on it for like a week I bet, just like with the round 1 TBZ performance lol. BtoB: Y E S. THIS REARRANGEMENT IS EVERYTHING TO ME!!!! (Also, Minhyuk loves to remind me how much I used to be in love with him lmaooooooooo.) Their concept was so nice and clear and they were able to incorporate those moments of singularity within the whole of their group without making it disjointed or messy. The way they incorporated actual doors into the staging of it as well made me super happy because while it may seem obvious it also could make the performance seem choppy but it wasn't! They had the flow of the camera and the appearance of the members down to the second and it was just wonderful to see. The vocal moments had me literally screaming the first time I watched it bc GOD, that's just it for me. That's the vocals I fully go for. And just like the groups watching, I too was like "man I miss concerts :(((((((" Overall, I give this a 9/10! Stray Kids: Just to say here, I miss Hyunjin. He would absolutely be adding that extra push that I think Stray Kids is currently missing. I'm on the fence for them (again, so like maybe it's just a me thing). My main thing was I was a bit confused for the more nuanced pieces of the storyline they had for this performance. Like I got the main overall theme of sacrificing yourself for a loved one but then smaller pieces weren't as clear to me? (Quick question for anyone reading this whole essay, am I the only one who was like Felix is Lucifer??? Being dragged out of heaven by the other angels and then the one who first had the heart??? Not sure but I like the vibes of that train of thought) Idk, but looking at this through a theatrical lens I think they needed to clarify some of the smaller details a bit more. But the vocals were incredible (once again, Han and Changbin compete for my fave member and end up tied ^_^) And the dance moments were actually really well done and incorporated well into the whole of the performance. It was much cleaner and pulled together this time rather than being chopped up and scattered like the last round so I fully think that their growth on this show is going in such a positive direction. Overall this performance was an 8/10 for me, which honestly is shocking bc I'm very pro add some demonic sacrifices into your kpop performances lmaoooooooo!!! (If you know the Buzzfeed Unsolved meme of that's enough dancing we need a murder, that's very much my personal fave kpop concept) Final personal ranking: 1. Ateez 2. BtoB 3. The Boyz 4. SF9 (Honestly they're tied with the boyz for me on this round tho.) 5. Stray Kids 6. iKon Some final thoughts on this week: I fully agree with your thoughts on the 4th gen bg leaders being their own vibe. The position of leader isn't just the mediator for the group and the middle man between the group and company, it has more of a connection to pull the group together. Maybe that's why I find myself drifting towards groups that have the closer relationships to one another more so than the more "professional" groups. Nothing wrong with that style of leadership or group makeup, it's just not something I as a fan would stick around for. Okay and like, I love all of the leaders of the groups that I stan and yet...... I fully believe that Bang Chan is the best leader in kpop both now and in the past. I don't even stan skz and Bang Chan always proves time and time again just how key of a person he is in literally every situation that he exists in. (lowkey my kpop conspiracy theory is the Bang Chan knows/has SOMETHING on jyp that keeps jyp/jype from fucking up stray kids) Also, would I burn down the world to make IN stop crying? maybe so, maybe so. I love seeing how and why my opinion about these rankings is here in the comments along with PD's personal rankings ^_^. I'm so excited not only for PD's reaction for the next episode but also for the next round of performances!

Lauren Miller

I'm honestly shocked everyone rated SKZ so high this round! Personally, I was really underwhelmed by their performance; the storyline wasn't totally clear right off the bat and while their vocals are freaking incredible, I still felt like something was missing... I guess I'm just emotionless lmao. That said, I completely agree w/ regard to BtoB. Their staging was flawless and so immersive!! They were my first, followed by IKON, SF9, Ateez/The Boyz (I can't choose!!), then SKZ.

Anonymous

The experts ranking makes sense in this case, I'll go one by one why: Ateez: Personally I wouldn't say this was my no 1, but I get why this was probably liked the most. It was well balanced in the sense of both the actual cover song made and the theatrics put into it. The best thing about Ateez's performances so far have been them having consistency both in storyline and performance quality. As a viewer its quite easy to follow what they're trying to do and so them being no 1 makes enough sense to me. The Boyz: Personally I would have swapped their place with SF9's(on experts ranking not the one including peer votes), because while their execution was great as usual, I felt it lacked a deep dive into the Latin influence they were trying to go about doing and while it looks quite grand and cool, it feels a bit half assed in terms of concept. But I think their delivery is probably what the judges gave value to and its probably the only rank I actually disagree with. Although I dont find them deserving of 6th place either :( welp. Ikon: I'd say the concept was quite interesting, the execution fairly safe and well done. I don't have much complaints with it, but I guess I don't have anything that particularly says WOW. Maybe that's how the experts felt too and no 3 is fairly okay in that sense. SF9: Ah my boys <3, this performance was everything for me, from the storyline to the clean performance to their "We'll show ya'll what we can really do" energy, it was a solid 10/10 for me. The only reason I can imagine them being no 4 is probably because the actual cover song was not so standout, because the main point was their acting and the action happening. So it felt more like a gangster musical than an idol performance. BtoB: OMG the actual song. I loved LOVED that song, still do. Like if it's on Spotify I will listen to it so much it will make my top 100 listened songs of the year in the end of the year data compilations they make. If this was a cover song competition, they'd be no 1 this round. BUT this is a competition of overall performances, not just cover songs and I already knew they were gonna rank low just because their stage usage wasn't as expansive as the rest of the groups and so while I enjoyed the hell out of it, it was more of a fun stage than a competitive one. Stray Kids: Oh boy do I have criticisms for this one. I hate that I am gonna say this but that was just a bad performance. I'm sorry it was and I'll explain why. Let's face it, in this entire competition, Stray Kids is vocally the weakest group here. Even when Woojin was around their vocal artillery wasn't as strong either. They attempted to cover I'll Be Your Man by BtoB who are basically living vocal legends in k-pop. You know what makes the original song so great? It's the vocal prowess and moments that entail strong vocals, the kind SKZ doesn't even have a fraction of. Their vocals were quite weak and frankly ruined the song in some ways. Especially at the end where Han and Seungmin were doing a harmony and Changbin rapping, that ended up being a noisy clash rather than a harmonious mix. They chose to punch above their weight and that's why I fully agree they deserve to get 6th on the experts and 5th from peer voting. There were a few ways they could have avoided this. One was maybe not take such a vocally intensive song, BtoB has such a song variety, they didn't need to do a song like I'll be your man. Second, Im kinda disappointed that we don't see more interesting choreo from them esp given that they're a JYP group ie dancing is an expectation from them. Maybe instead of attempting to do the vocals, use dance to show off those parts instead. Basically I feel they ended up choosing a song that highlighted their weaknesses not their strengths and that's what got them the low score. Sorry again if anyone finds my words harsh, there's no hate here, just honest thoughts that hopefully make sense :) Have a good rest of the evening!

My personal ranking for this roundis 1: SF9, I loved the concept, the arrangement, basically everything. And the second time I watched it I loved it even more. 2: IKON, again I loved the concept, arrangement, and dance. The only thing is that I kinda felt like compared to others this stage was more minimal even with the interesting sets which I personally prefer as it's much easier to understand. I didn't really like the opening VCR though, I thought it was pointless. 3: The Boyz, they probably would have been second if not the mistake. I really loved the performance and the song they picked. The only critique I really have other than the mistake is that the whole Game of Thrones concepts they've been going for is throwing me off since I never watched the show. Like in comparison to IKON who did an Inception movie which I also didn't see, that was much more universal while for The Boyz you actually had to have seen the show to understand everything. 4: BTOB, I wasn't really vibing with the first half of the performance where they were in the backstage rooms but I loved the second hype half. One thing I always enjoy is when these groups have fun on stage and I think BTOB and IKON are two groups that have shown that. 5: Stray Kids, I think purely on song choice I didn't like this stage. The original I'll Be Your Man is just top their perfection that this one by SKZ seemed off. I do remember being like "huh" when I heard the voice crack thing and I kind of understand why they were judged harshly on it since BTOB and this song are extremely vocal heavy but honestly this simple mistake was so so small and didn't really affect the performance as a whole. 6: Ateez, I just didn't like the stage. It felt so chaotic to me and it was hard to absorb everything that was happening. Like I had to watch it again to fully catch the good details and stuff.

Alexstaffordx

I think the boyz should be no1 because these group performance keep using the same choreo and hardcore and I’m getting bored , the boyz added interesting different dance styles was nice I like it and I think ikon should have been last that version of the song they did was god awful for me and Bobby sounded bad ,

Ena

Also, random side note but Ateez Jongho with his hair pushed up is something else and I hope to see more of that in the future hehehe

Keiera Jones

i do agree with your take on Stray Kidz performance... it's harsh but it's your truth. Their performance aesthetically looked amazing and the acting was on point but the vocals fell flat to me. I know everyone likes to depend on Han as a vocalist but he isn't their main vocal and the main did great but just couldn't overcome the hurdle of BTOBs powerhouses. It is just honestly a poor song choice imo... i feel like they should;ve stuck with MOVIE. Also, yes i understand that the og singers complimented skidz but objectively the performance lacked and it showed. BUT they still did a great job! Don't get it twisted... all of the guys here did... its just the challenge of being on a competition show with 5 other powerful groups... even the slightest mistakes can change the outcome.

Keiera Jones

PD i actually have to disagree on the notion that Skz ranked low bc of the lack of spectacle. I feel the entire performance was engaging and a spectacle. The stage was absolutely beautiful! I truly just believe that they ranked low (by experts at least) bc their vocals just missed the mark for the stage performance. My other personal grip was that it felt a little too similar to the original song besides the rap portion. It came off more like a cover song of Skz trying to embody BTOB rather than reBorn(ing) a song and making it their own. Comparatively, Skz are the only group that didn't really take the song and make it new imo. So personally, i think the ranking for both expert and peer fit them. However, i do agree that Ateez is around 2nd/3rd (tied with SF9) and BTOB deserved the win this round!

Amanda Araujo

I agree with most of your opinions about the performances PD and my ranking was kinda similar, mine was 1- SF9 2- BTOB 3- IKON 4- ATEEZ 5- SKZ 6- TBZ srsly if SF9 dont continue to be top 2 in the final ranking i'll be so mad because for me it was one of the best stages yet from the whole show they really deserve to keep that place and BTOB too i really hope they go higher in the end because that performance was so amazing and creative also im so happy as well that we are finally getting an episode with big groups interections this was definitly my fav part on Queendom too and i was kinda mad that mnet was giving us almost none of that here but the time has home thank god

Rain Sparks

Personally I was very surprised seeing Stray Kids ranking last, I don't even stan them but they impressed me a lot with this performance, but I think I understand after seeing your points. Honestly, I'm very bad with ranking these performances because sometimes it's hard for me to even compare them. I think I've come to the conclusion of my rankings being. 1. Stray Kids 2. BTOB 3. SF9 4. Ateez 5. The Boyz 6. iKon Personally, I really enjoyed all of them. I think iKon and Ateez definitely did the concept of "Reborn" better than the other groups. I just happened to enjoy Stray Kids and BTOB's performances more. However, as an Ateez ulted person and ex-Sf9 ulted person I was very happy with the results nonetheless.

Anonymous

yea Btob definitely topped my ranking for this round it was so fun to watch, followed by SF9 and iKon

Anonymous

I'm not going to really rank these performances, but here are my opinions/criticisms on the song arrangements because I was looking forward to them the most. SF9- loved the performance, but the arrangement isn't my favorite. I can't even remember what it sounds like because every time I think back to it all I hear is the original The Boyz- Same thing as SF9 and that's probably because they kept the latin inspiration. Ikon-This is completely biased because I love Inception and I am not expecting people to agree. I did not like it. Not because the arrangement is bad, but because it felt like they changed too much lyrically/melodically. I might have like it more if they had either kept more of the original lyrics or melody. It just doesn't even feel like a remix/cover. Ateez- I really liked it. They kept just enough that it was definitely Rhythm Ta, but still made it their own. I think this is partly due to the lyrics of Rhythm Ta matching very well with their concept. BTOB- Loved it. The transitions were clean and the arrangements were awesome. Especially when they came together at the end. ( Sidenote: I recognize Minhyuk for the stunning man he is, but Eunkwang just did things for me with his look and I will not accept criticism for this opinion.) Stray Kids- A lovely arrangement that captured the dark somber mood backed by some great vocals and rapping, but the dance break took me out of the performance and I was not pleased.

Anonymous

Oh and I like how we can hear changsub doing tuning bfr eunkwang enter it was really creative

sakeofblake

ever since i saw txt's soobin and btob's minhyuk next to each other, i seriously can't shake the resemblance

Brooklyn

Sorry for the long thoughts in advance lol. I’ve always loved stages and performances with stories, but I’m learning as I watch the show that a clear, creative storyline and a memorable arrangement which flows with minimal interruption (like a song) are the most important aspects for me. That’s why I have Ateez and BTOB tied for first in my mind. There were nuanced details to each of their performances and I catch new things every time, but overall the stories were also instantly legible from the first go. That’s part of why SKZ wasn’t as impressive for me, both in this round and the previous. It’s clear that they’re trying to go for something, but it’s not instantly clear what that something is and it feels like I’m grasping at straws and tiny details to make up the entire picture. I don’t really care about the mistakes personally even if they’re more obvious (although fuck Mnet for making such a huge deal out of Jeongin’s note when it wasn’t even that bad, like poor guy having a camera shoved in his face when he’s crying and then having that put in the thumbnails and previews on Youtube). I personally have groups like TBZ and SF9 in the middle of my rankings just because of the amount of stop and start moments. It kind of killed the flow for me (although clearly the in-show editing fucks it up too, as well as the lighting and camera work masking the choreo like with Ateez). The last thing I’ll say about Ateez as someone who ults them is that I enjoy how they are able to balance the legible in-performance storylines for each stage and their overarching lore as a group. The stage itself this round is obviously about Money Heist and includes major themes, motifs, and plot points, but the choice of that inspiration also allowed them to incorporate their group lore. There are so many tiny details you could only fully understand the context of if you understand the lore, but that doesn’t kill the legibility of the performance itself. You don’t need to know that the censorship of art and music ties directly into the journals included in the diary version of the last album, or what the hourglass does or means in depth - but if you do then it’s that much more fun for us fans. So if you aren’t a fan, you know what’s going on, and if you’re a fan, you also know what’s going on in a different way. It allows them to keep their fans happy as well as pull in the general public. Everything is so well-thought of. I truly admire their creative team.

ugh omg i have such a love hate relationship for this show... i hate the actual competition part but i love the groups and the interactions! i like how you went back and rewatched the performances with no cuts, i hope you could do that with the previous three performances too! like TBZ’s performance had a whole like 20sec cut out from the beginning because of copyright or smth and it is included in the youtube version. idk if anything would’ve changed if you saw it with the beginning section (sadly, that fire mistake really cost them imo) but i still hope you see it! my personal rankings are: 1. BTOB 2. Ateez 3. The Boyz 4. Sf9 5. Ikon 6. Stray Kids i admit i’m biased to tbz since they are my ults but i really do think they’re doing amazing considering all the pressure on them... i hope they can take it easy for the next round and really strengthen their storyline because i think that’s what set them apart in RTK more than the stunts. i think they’re starting to lose that a bit and i really hope the evaluators give them better feedback this time because “fans would be disappointed” was a HUGE punch to their confidence i think :(

it's reborn, they're supposed to recreate the song

I just love the fact that iKON is still trying to keep their color..Jinhwan was right, if they become too focus on concept, they will lose themselves. I don't want them to do something like other groups just to say that they're up there. They're keeping the iKON concept.

I"m curious if anyone has measured the amount of time the show has cut mid performance to the other groups to see if it's equal or if there is a group where the cuts are so much more predominant because I always feel like Ateez's performances get so many cuts it actually gets to the point that it irritates me or maybe it's just Ateez's performances usually have the momentum that requires no cuts

But I mean one of Peniel’s lyrics was “how many licks does it take to make your tootsie pop” THAT WAS A SEXUAL INNUENDO I DIDNT NEED TO KNOW EXISTED. I can’t think about the damn owl commercial the same ever again! I did the math again to see exactly how the experts and groups gave out their 3 votes each: Experts- ATEEZ(23), The Boyz(16), iKON(15), SF9(13), BTOB(11), StrayKids(9) Self- SF9 and BTOB (5), ATEEZ and iKON (3), StrayKids (2), The Boyz (0) https://twitter.com/emi_rahm/status/1387928659152019461?s=21 My personal ranking was: 1) ATEEZ 2) SF9 3) StrayKids 4) BTOB 5) iKON 6) The Boyz I had all similar comments/thoughts as PD except for BTOB. While the performance was awesome, I really though the transition into the second half/live stage was awkward musically. Like there was this big reveal but the hype didn’t kick in until later and the energy from the raging crowd felt misplaced when it was still in a muted bridge section of the song. I had them and StrayKids pretty much tied and that was the deciding factor for me.

Just popping in to say I like what you've said about the ATEEZ stage and fully agree. It's such clear and thoughtful storytelling. It works for everyone regardless of whether you're the general public or a die-hard ATINY, I admire the deftness weaving those layers together takes. As a fan, it's thrilling.

Same!! Whenever I look at either of them I get reminded of the other person right away

Changsub has a musical at the same time, so he was either resting or busy with that. I hope you can see the Btob version of I'll Be Your Man.

Its funny that all the groups were so "shocked" that tbz got last when they didn't even vote for them lol what did u expect

Stephanie Dockery

The boyz perfomed o sole mio from sf9 not now or never though! I think that’s why at end performance they shot errow at the sun to make it eclipse . Because o sole mio is about protecting your lover from the sun.

My personal ranking was TBZ, BtoB, SKZ, SF9, Ateez, & Ikon.  But obviously I was TOTALLY off. A big factor in my scoring is that SKZ did what I want to see from Ateez, which is step out of their comfort zone, take a risk, & show some growth.  Ateez has mastered their brand of bombastic, going hard performance.  They know what they do well & then they go do it well; that's not in question.  But from what I see, they're a 1-trick pony, & even if the trick is cool, it gets boring after a couple repetitions.  I want to see them branch out and challenge themselves to do something that isn't hard hitting & in your face w/ both the concept and the music.  So yes, they put on a good performance, but I personally ranked them low because they're not showing me anything I haven't seen from them before.  I know I'm probably the only one who feels that way or takes it into account, though. As for BtoB: I'm 1000000% positive that back when Cube was putting them together they went, "We're only allowing TOTAL WHACK JOBS in this group," so if you ever get to thinking, "Oh, he's the normal one," you're wrong & they'll prove it 5 min later. 🤪  I loved their performance & how they managed tell a story while highlighting each member and then coming together, and making the song their own. I found it hilarious that both SKZ & BtoB complained that the other's song was too high. 😆

Like the last note about SKZ & BTOB, yeah its funny. and still they both reached them high notes or even went beyond it haha

Mats Lind

Regarding The Boyz and Game of Thrones, watching the show would not have helped you understand their Red Wedding performance at all, it seemed to have nothing to do with the incident they referred to besides the title.

my personal ranking was: BTOB, Stray kids, sf9, ateez, the boyz, ikon. Even though I.N. messed up on a note I really didn't notice in the performance and I honestly had goosebumps after both BTOB and straykids performances, I've kinda already talked about why I didn't like Ikon's performance so much on the last video, and the boyz probably did good but the problem is I genuinely can't remember any of their performance except for the birdcage and considering that I'm literally binge watching this, that's pretty bad. Also, I'm very curious what criteria the "experts" were using to make their judgements because my ranking was fairly close to theirs last time but this time they picked the least impactful performances(to me at least, I forgot about them so fast) and gave them first and second place.

Christopher Smith

BTOB Stray Kids Ateez The Boyz Ikon SF9 Since I usually listen along instead of watch, all my judging for basically all of these (Queendom and RoK included) is by how much I like the song and if I would listen to it again.

Megan Wall

I definitely think btob should’ve been first in this one as well. But I’m happy they were 3rd.

for anyone wondering, vimeo took down all of their videos and they're trying to figure it out. i also subscribed mainly to watch kingdom and i'm sad i can't because i know i won't be able to subscribe again later. Also the videos stop at my favorite performances :(
