Body rhythm and Marry you are my faves on the album but all the songs are amazing! The live version of Marry You is incredible and their voices are just 🤌🏻🤌🏻

loved your review and understand some sound similar (body rhythm was low on my list). as you have watched the live version of the songs definitely hit differently . Kind is such a comfort song. I hope you get to listen to the 3 songs for the repackage.

After watching this I realized how much I love the live listening parties. Not to say that this was bad, this was really good, but I absolutely love the live feeling. I hope you'll consider continuing doing live listening parties. Thank you!

I agree that "Attention" isn't attention-grabbing enough, lol. It's the only song I find to be dull, but oh my, how I love all of the rest of the songs. My favourite is....ehm...I don't know, actually! :O So far it's the album of the year for me, maybe until Enhypen comes back and blows my mind! ^_^

There's always one song in an album that will make you go "oh my god!" And squeal like a child at Christmas... "Body Rhythm" did that for me. Heard the first 5 seconds and was like "yes... Yes. This is it". Not to mention Key's vocals fit the sound so perfectly... The first chorus, oh my goodness

For me, who wasn't familiar with Shinee songs in the slightest, apart from top hits like View, Ring ding dong, Replay and Good evening, this album came totally unexpected, in a good way! I would have never thought they'd release such funk heavy songs, totally wasn't ready for that, but since I'm a sucker for funky base lines, this was straight up my alley! Obviously tracks like Don't call me, Code, Body Rhythm or Kind are a bit more memorable since they stick out in terms of genre, they are just... extra special, I guess, have a bit more flair. But whereas for Pd the rest of the songs apparently fell a bit flat, I greatly enjoyed them, and that's okay, it's really just a matter of personal preference, I can respect that. Overall for me this was kinda like an experiment, I wanted to understand what made Shinee so great in the eyes of the public, but also among their peers and I must say, I get it now! Shinee kpop kings, a rightfully deserved title! I am so glad that I checked them out, I would have missed out on a masterpiece otherwise! Thanks for the reaction Pd, a pleasure as always ^^

thank you for this listening party! we have very similar opinions. Marry You was actually the only song i didn't playlist while my favourites were I Really Want You, Body Rhythm (can't believe we didn't get a live stage for this) along with Kind which is such a healing song.. it gives me chills sometimes. plus it feels like it belongs to Taemin's NGDA Act 2 album!

Kiss Kiss and Marry You are definitely my favorites before the album even came out when they did a live ver. of Marry You, I was in love with it because of Onew and Keys vocals. And but here me out when I say this...but kiss kiss gives me like a Trolls soundtrack/ Justin Timberlake feel in the best way and was a super refreshing song.

This is also my first time listening to Shinee’s bsides just because I only got into kpop just after Good Evening came out, and wow I love this album! I have to agree with your top tracks here, although Marry You is also more up my alley so I really love that track too! I think CODE is genuinely one of the best kpop songs I’ve ever heard ugh it’s so good

After my first listen of this album which is reaaaaally sounding like SHINee, they have that specific and special flavour to their songs, but for real my favourite song from this album was Body rhythm and it still is, I listened to it more than I listen to the title track haha, it just gives me really good vibes and rises my mood. Glad you liked the album PD. ^^

I Really Want You is my personal favorite on the album. What can I say; I'm a sucker for feel-good pop - even more so if it's got a retro flavor. 😁 For some reason I can picture this song in a Dirty Dancing movie. Am I the only one who was reminded of ENHYPEN's 20 Cube (Let Me In) while listening to Body Rhythm? The beats are very similar, or so my brain tells me as it does an impromptu mashup. Kind hits different, don't it, PD? That's the appropriate use of whatever effect that is at the beginning & end. SHINee's my safe place in Kpop, at least musically. I can be listening to Lucifer or Everybody, to say nothing of their more chill songs, & suddenly just take a deep breath and feel my blood pressure lowering. Just like PD, who generally dislikes ballads, is on board for BtoB's ballads because they're BtoB - I will never skip a SHINee ballad, & most of the (comparatively few) ballads in my massive Kpop playlist are by them. I'll miss Taem while he's away, but in the meantime there's still a massive discography to keep me happy.

Taemin will be enlisting on May 31st but will be releasing a solo album before! I believe that Key is having one in July as well and Onew in September. I hope that you can check them out :)

I definitely agree that the songs in this album feel really similar to each other. This is why I prefer the repackage album "Atlantis"... I feel like the songs they added, make the album easier to listen...."Kind" is my favorite song from this album! I definitely like the repackage more than this album :)

Have you checked out any of their other albums since then? Honestly they don't have a bad album imo, while DCM/Atlantis is good is not my favorite by them. I'd also suggest checking out Odd/MTTM, 1 of 1/1 and 1, Misconceptions of Us, The Story of Light, Everybody and a Japanese album Five.

You should also check out the repackage of this album 'Atlantis''. The songs on it definitely add some more variety and makes the album flow even better as a whole. Or at least the title track which is also called Atlantis, its MV is gorgeous and I think you'd love the song if you haven't heard it yet.
