Ouch... (Patreon)

Due to circumstanced beyond my control I was offline for quite a while... again. Fate attacked repeatedly, but honestly said I'm used to something like this by now. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to do anything since my last post more than a week ago, but my PC (a bit older than 3 years) failed and refused to work anymore. The UPS behaved quite weird, maybe this caused the damage. No web, no possibility to order anything or tell you about my situation. So I had to drive to the next dealer to get new parts (and that took quite a long time). And then I had to learn that there is a second generation of that processor I've been using, it doesn't work on the new motherboard with the same CPU socket (criminals). A changing drive unit didn't work anymore, because the SATA socket broke as I pulled off the cable, to have more room for the exchange of the board. A tiny part, worth a few cents only, broke, but to get this part would have been too expensive, so I had to get a complete new unit. After updating the BIOS of the new motherboard, the PC refused to work with my old keyboard from the 80's, that had a PS/2 to USB adapter, so I needed a new keyboard. This all was very expensive and now my car (14½ years old) also starts to make troubles. Although I'm always saving my money as good as possible, it runs through my fingers like sand on the beach. I eat only once a day (mostly an oatmeal with milk), my winter coat is 35 years old, I have T-shirts that are even older, my shoes are 6 years old and need to get replaced soon... and so on. Plus the fact that my time to leave my place is limited, my bad health hasn't changed and probably never will. But so what, as long as I have you, the best patrons on planet Earth, my life still has a meaning. Just give me a little time more, to answer all the accrued eMails, update the secret lair and I will continue to work on the last frames of the actual comic again.
