Ep 135: One word from Welfin is all it takes for Meruem to remember Komugi. Having moved underground, the King transforms his aura into particles to find where Palm is hiding. When the King declares that the battle is over and reveals his reason for coming to Palm, she is shocked.

Ep 136: Pouf is worried that Meruem will remember Komugi. However, he must carry out his duty and spread pollen to the remaining citizens, despite the decrease in his power after offering his own body to the King. Pouf soon realizes that Pitou has not returned. Pouf does not the resolution of the battle between Gon and Pitou.

I love how this ark had SO many stories and mini stories that they managed to wrap them all nice at the end like: Meruem & Komugi, Gyro, the child, girl Kite (I will adress all of this in a sec), to name a few. Full of drama, action, interesting characters, world building, what else would you want from a anime series? Ok so Meruem & Komugi's relationship, I get where you guys are coming from, and if you wanna call it Stockholm syndrom that's fine. Like you've said, Meruem even though physically looks like a grown dominate adult, he is still new born, a child that was "born to be a leader", he was thrust into this world with "the destiny" to rule the world, a mission that was also heavily encouraged on him by his guards, but he is also part human, and with that part despite all the killings that he did he still had some principals, like he told his guards "just don't lie to my, that's all I ask", and also he had a big "competitive spirit", that's why he accepted that bet with Puff, and that's why this love (or however you wanna call it) blossomed between he and Komugi, he thought he's ment to be the best and that he will be, but when he met his match in this game, he felt exhilarating, which later I guess turned into whatever it became. As for Komugi, she did say when we first met her that, yeah she was doing gungi to provide for her family and her village, and that her family was heavily relying on that, but at the end of the day she didn't cared for that, she didn't really wanted that responsability, she just wanted to play gungi! And when she found someone with the same spirit of wanting to play, she felt happy! So with all that being said, the relationship didn't felt "out of the blue" or "predatory" to me, but that's just be, idk. Oh, and Meruem being poisoned, yes as we know from real life, a nuke can have huge repercussions even after the initial blast, and no amount of "ant chemo therapy" could fully heal you, and Meruem wasn't the only person affected, Puff & Youpi died because of the same thing! One last thing about "girl Kite", if you'd recall the episode when "mama Ant" was dieing, she gave birth to one last little fetus that Colt took it into his care and raised it into that mantion where he was hiding, that was Kite's soul reincarnated into a new chimera ant or just a new human body, that wasn't fully clear for me either, but either way it's the same thing that happened with the other ants, cause the Kite that we saw latter, was just a empty shell that Pitou stitched back together to use as a doll.
