As someone who started doctor who in the Matt Smith era (I have since watched all of the doctors,) I would rate this episode as a c+. This is certainly not a standout episode to this season in my opinion, though its still pretty solid. I'm so excited for the next episode!

Daryl

Did someone recommend you to start at series 5? And when you say all The Doctors, to mean All The Doctors I take it..... 😜

Mary Coelho

Yes, ALL the doctors lol. No one ever talked about the show to me before hand, funny enough. I turned on The Snowmen special on cable on accident and loved it. I just started watching at the beginning of Smith after that cause its what initially pulled me in. Then I went back and watched the rest!

I'm very late to these reactions – and didn't comment throughout rtd era cus of that reason but I thought what's the harm with starting now. I don't know if I have an unpopular opinion but I have a major soft spot for the previous episode (beast below) where I kinda find this one boring tbh. But honestly (not having rewatched doctor who chronologically from s 1 to "now" since before chibnall even started airing – and hell hasn't that been a while) I love rewatching these alongside you two. You guys make me appreciate doctor who (perhaps my favourite show ever) in a completely new light – and make me appreciate episodes I haven't personally really vibed with more. And so yea I dunno if you read comments for fairly old videos but I appreciate what you guys our doing for us patrons. Maybe a bit weird episode to start commenting on but there was a moment during this episode where I realised how much I really appreciate matt smith's take on the doctor (who, even tho i love him, isn't quite my fave) – and I dunno that made me wanna share my gratitude for your videos. So thanks guys and (being "late") it's cool to know I have plenty of episodes to get through!
