No promises on when this project will come out! It just depends on how things are going, but I said I would start doing more WIPs and stuff, so here's a super early preview of something.

"But UE, this is just a bowl of cereal! What's so special about it?"

Well, until recently, every cereal prop I've purchased has all been one big bowl with no geometry (basically just a picture overlaid onto a 3D model) or a few separate pieces that look really bad zoomed in. Today, a new asset was released that I thought would resolve that problem... but I was let down again. So what did I do? I spent the whole afternoon resolving it for myself. The result? A bowl of cereal with individual pieces of cereal, all separate and able to be moved individually or as part of a group! The first image shows what it looks like normally, and the second image shows individual layers of cereal. What does this mean? High quality up-close images of on-spoon action, cereal pieces floating and bucking around as cereal is being stirred or poured, and more. Woohoo!

So, naturally, this is a lot of VRAM (virtual memory) to render. This specific bowl has 75+ pieces of individual cereal pieces. After I add people and scenery to it, I don't know if I can actually render a story with this, which is why I can't say when the project in mind for this will come out. Once I can get a hardware upgrade, it'll be a lost easier. Until then... I'll try to keep you all updated. I'd love to do a story primarily focused on some tiny people lost in a cute, clueless girl's bowl of Frosted Flakes. :)

Anyway, that's a cool thing I thought I'd share. See ya soon!
