This Week's Posts (Patreon)

Hey y'all, just wanted to touch base. Things have been crazy lately for everyone, myself included. Thanks to you all, my rig has been updated significantly, and that truly means everything. I can almost seamlessly render out images in minutes instead of hours now. However, my real job has moved us to a completely work from home situation until the end of 2020 at the earliest, if not indefinitely. That's great for work, but it is a pretty significant change in my workflow.  For the last few weeks, everything I've posted has been rendered either the day before, or the day of, this is why I've been late or nearly late much more frequently.

Typically I will spend weekends queuing up scenes to render, then let the render queue run while I'm at my office, and spend nights doing post work or doing extra stuff. This new rig is great, but it's also a little loud due to all of the fans, and is hard for me to sleep with at night, so I don't usually leave it on. Now, since I'm using this PC for both my job and for rendering, I can't render during the day anymore, and as I mentioned, rendering at night makes it hard to sleep. But there's a solution!

This week I am moving into a new apartment, and I will have a dedicated office outside of my bedroom. What this means is that I will be able to render at night without it keeping me awake, and I'll be able to resume a more reasonable workflow. Hooray!

Which brings me to the point of this message. I usually try to upload Small Business on Tuesday nights, and Weekly Renders on Sundays. I'm taking a little break on working on those uploads that were supposed to go up tonight, but without rushing or losing image quality, I don't expect that they will be ready, and I don't want to keep sacrificing quality for timeliness. I'd rather take my time and give you guys a better product a little later.

Typically I try to offer you guys extra content when things go up late, but I seriously need to get a backlog going again to avoid constantly racing the timer to post work. Offering extra content when I'm late will probably just end up with me posting late again next week, since the majority of my free time will be focused on moving all of my possessions to a new apartment. I'm going to ask your forgiveness for posting the weekly content for this week a day later, as well as Small Business. If I can get them posted on time, I will, but it seems unlikely. After I'm done moving, I should be able to resume a normal uploading on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.  Those of you on Tier 4 who get daily content should still get your Daily Dosage posts, since those are fairly quick and easy.
