I was playing around with some new scans last night, and made everything Tron, and I realized that I'm totally into glowing graffiti, so here's a tut (also an introduction to texture painting, if you haven't poked around with that before!)

Also I said "tut" in real life and Kaitlin was like, "that's the worst thing I've ever heard" but honestly it's been saving me a bunch of syllables lately.

The best part is that you never know when s this half of a second with “ok, goodbye“ will come

Ian is becoming too powerful

Anonymous

- The Tronening - 🤣 (slaps a 'Words Mean Things Ian' sticker on the wall and does a little Tron dance).

Anyone else every time is waiting for video's hilarious end? :-)

Anonymous

lol You made my day ;)

I’m “tut-ing” hardcore everyday over here! Serious case of Blenderlust.

Anonymous

this is really badass

Anonymous

Well, Ian you certainly are the "tut dude" in Blender haha

Anonymous

Hey Bud, can't overestimate the value of syllable saving. Thanks for the tu (saving consonants now too).

Have you got any leftover dancing mo cap? I think I could use some of that right now...

Anonymous

did you make or download the mocap?

IanHubert

Yeah, this is some Mixamo stuff- I've been bashing my head against the wall trying to get the rokoko data to play nice with the Mixamo rig. Gonna give it another shot this evening. In theory it should just work, but I've thrown literally like 6 whole days at it, and haven't figured it out yet (something to do with the scaling). My guess is I just need that exact perfect collection of checkboxes

I really want to figure out how to make this work in real life now.

HAHAH am laughing so hard ..now i know whats going in your head.....this lockdown is killing you...lol

ruddy marvellous!

as someone who is constantly distracted by making things overly glow-y in blender, this is really bad news for me. even more time is going to be wasted orbiting around glowy stuff. really awesome though!

Anonymous

a couple more and you'll be king tut!

IanHubert

Man seriously the Eevee glow is more rewarding than it has any right to be.

Anonymous

That is pretty darn sweet! Can you use Eeve's bloom too much? Yes! Do I care? NO!

Anonymous

AWESOME!!!

Anonymous

Sweet gsus, this should be the teaser trailer to bring people to use Blender! LMAO

Anonymous

omg this just changed my whole life. This is exactly what I've been looking for, for a project and I didn't even know it

Anonymous

I've tried a dozen times to do this but I can't get it to work. It just applies my second base color to the whole mesh, even when I have my nodes set up just like you show here. What am I doing wrong?! : /

Anonymous

guilty as charged here too! Bloom overboard up and coming!

To make the brush texture the background color, use Alpha.
