It's big, it's heavy, it's wood!

An early sample of the color flats for some video game stuff.     I am looking forward immensely to running around in the Starfall mountains!

Of course, you can run through or on top of the logs, as one is so inclined.   I want to create some 'spring' for those branches on the right, so you can launch higher if you time the jump right- and possibly make that bark ledge on the left brittle and breakable, depending on character weight.

We're drawing leaves on a separate layer, so we can work more easily with variations and other effects.

I cannot flippin wait for this game.

Just to clarify, what kind of development environment are you making your game in? Game engine? Programming language? IDE? Target Platforms?

Ed is the expert there, but I'll try to parrot what I can remember... He's coding it from scratch for- I think it was going to be in a language called "XNA" but he's transferring it to an upgraded language- and we plan to release it on Steam. But the engine- lighting, rendering protocols, physics, AI- is built entirely from scratch just for this project.

Wow, that's pretty ambitious to try and create a new game engine from scratch. Wish Ed the best of luck with programming. :)

Man, the Starfall (both the mountains and the forests) is going to be so freaking sweet!
