Here we go, the first E36 on the channel!

This is going to be one short and sweet project. :)

I also decided it was time to do updates on all the projects.

Have a lovely Sunday, folks! I'm working on project Rottweil headlights. That and paint correction will be the next episode!

Did I Find the Cleanest BMW E36 328i? + Update On All Projects - Project Valencia - P1

In this episode, I bought sight unseen supposedly a really nice car. A 1996 BMW E36 328i finished in Arctic silver over beautiful Safran leather interior. The car has an interesting history as the first owner was an actual princess. We also do a round-up and update on all of the projects. Regarding the stroker M54, its not possible to have it bored out very much without the risk of cracks in the cylinder walls, since M52TU and M54 have factory steel cylinder liners. Unfortunately Alpina crankshafts are prone to cracking under higher revs, since they use the same blank as a base like the B30. The Alpina 3.3 in the E46 B3 and B3S used an M52 steel block, instead of the Euro aluminum version. Instead you can watch out for an S54 crankshaft and modify that to fit the M54. That will automatically eliminate the problem with the crankshaft not being regid enough at higher revs than 6900-7000, since the main bearing vs. rod bearing area overlap is higher in S54 crank than M54. We run such a crankshaft in a "Franken M54" producing around 650PS with a supercharger in an E39. Its converted to single timing chain. Also keep in mind that with the original MS43 ECU you can't calibrate more than 270° cams, which is just enough to have the Schrick 272/256 dialed in correctly, since Siemens and Schrick use different reference points for their specs. We have that Schrick setup running pretty good in a time attack car. If you want to take a look at the ECU data, you can visit my website, it's a hobby project where I publish everything I find out about these "golden engines". It's called ms4x.net

Thank you for this info! Yeah, looks like boring out the block won't be an option. Doubt I can find someone to modify the S54 crank. I saw that VAC has a stroker kit for M54, but that requires 85mm bore size.

Have you found the missing papers for the E21? You said in an old video that the seller didn’t want to give you the papers to register it. Thanks 🙏🏻
