After 23 days on the road, I'm back home in Frankfurt!

I wanted to share a few lovely pictures from this trip. It was absolutely epic.
First, we went to the East coast: Boston, Cape Cod, New York and Pittsburgh.

Then flew into Salt Lake City and picked up the E46 M3, which turned out to be a lot rougher than I thought. Incredibly nice Patreon, J.R. and his friends helped me wrench on it until 1 am and we got it ready to drive to Vegas and Los Angeles the next day. Over there I did more work on the car and then drove up to my old stomping grounds, Santa Barbara!

I can't describe how good it felt to be back, brought back a lot of good memories. I tried to recreate pictures I took of my old E39 530i, on Chapala street, downtown SB and in the mountains overlooking the entire Santa Barbara.

After that, we drove up to San Francisco, taking route 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) which is one of the most beautiful roads in the world. Loved every second of it in the M3.
In SF, we stayed with Jason Cammisa. He is such a nice guy and so much fun to hang out with. He helped me work on the M3, then I went to see his collection and we drove some of the cars. He has a tiny shoe of a car, Honda beat, never laughed so hard while driving a slow car. Then he organized an impromptu meet & greet with the fans from the area in his studio. Just have no words for the man. I filmed all of it!

Then we went back to Santa Barbara for one night, then back to LA where I sold the car. I put over 2000 miles on project Salt Lake City without major issues, but I didn't want to bring it over to Germany as I already have way too many projects and cause it's a convertible. I loved the S54 engine and I'll be definitely getting another E46 M3 in the future, albeit it'll be a coupe.

Working with BimmerWorld was an awesome experience and they made the trip and working on the M3 so much easier. Three times they overnighted parts that I needed badly and I was able to sort out the car.

In the end, it all worked out brilliantly and it was a lot of fun fixing the car on the road. I definitely want to do something like this again, hopefully next year!
That said, it was also exhausting, we got back yesterday and I slept nearly 11 hours, haha. Now I'm somewhat rested and I started editing part 1 of this journey! Hoping I'll have enough material for at least 3 parts.

Expect the first video some time this week!

So-so-so happy to read and see all of this in pics. The videos will definitely be rewatched a few times, would be fun if it had some Top Gear road trip-episode vibe to them, but that's just my opinion. Already loving them, nonetheless. ❤️
