As she's an alien, she had to have different stuff from Terran. I though to a inflatable jacket with auto-inflation for swimming.
Though a malfunction from this stuff could have very... Impressives... Results.

Tau'Kee's specie is from kinda amphibian/frog origins, which mean her skin is extremely elastic when well hydrated. And you can see the result :)
