So regarding the karte, I found this on Reddit: “Karte in German means just card, but as a loanword in Japan, it means something more specific. Karte is used as a medical term in Japan. In the manga and anime, karte symbolizes the process of getting cured of (being a) chuunibyou (think Nakanaka (eye patch girl) from Komi-san).”

"Karte" afaik is German for "card" in this context, similar to the French word "Carte", used the same as a "Scene 2" card/clapperboard would be used for theater/film.
