In terms of animation, ost, and fight scenes it's amazing . In terms of story and any sort of substance of that from this adaptation its terrible that it rushed and changed the story, it made characters that had a chance to shine in the webtoon and just toss them to the side. If it was more the 13 episode it would have been a great adaptation.

fights were dope still sucks they were force to choose Jujutsu Kaisen over GoH on which gets more time & money but its all good as long as it doesn't disappoints btw yall gonna react to it?

Quelz

Ay dnt hate in JJK bruh its def worth the hype lol u will see

Kurumi

not hating I've read the manga the story is wayyy better than GoH but this was just a perfect opprtunity make GoH the standard for future adapted webtoons

Daniel Turner

Blond guy was the spy then ?

So I'm hoping they get green lit for a second season, which I'm assuming they will because Tower of God also got the clear. But they did a phenomenal job animating 13 episodes of a series with 300+ chapters of manhwa content. Noblesse is next for an anime I believe, might start reading that soon or just wait for the anime to drop.

I doubt mappa had a big say in this it’s probably ultimately down to webtoons, Crunchyroll, and the author since the author does have to play everything since it’s his work. I can’t blame the studio fully on this one but the companies funding it.

Shin splits

I wouldn’t say phenomenal this definitely should have been a 26 episode show. But it was hella rushed the animation and ost was fantastic but the substance is absolutely trash.

I getcha. Personally I did enjoy it. The story itself was a little flawed even from the manhwa's standpoint but I enjoyed myself nonetheless. They did what they could where they could, and my only issue would be the fleeting back story for each character. Like the manhwa had more time to develop those, and while they weren't perfect they did give a little more in terms of personifying each of their goals.

I'm guessing. I had my suspicions before, I feel like that scene confirmed them.

Idgaf about story with some anime.... such as DBZ and GoHS. Substance? The fighting IS the substance for me. As long as the fights are epic and animated well, I'm happy. I literally don't need anything else.

Music was fire, animation was fire, very satisfying ending of the season for me. Mira climbed her way to best girl status also (I mean, there's also the thicc girl, but idk her name and she's had so little screen time). Got some Zamasu vibes from Jegal lol. Just like, "You all are beneath me, shitty mortals" type of mentality. Lol. I wasn't really interested in reading Tower of God. But I've already started reading The God of High School. So that says something how I felt about them. GoHS anime was a better advertisement for the manhwa than ToG. imo.

Kenjiro Tsuda wasn't really "Overhaul" in ID:INVADED or Cop Craft. XD Both of which are pretty good anime. Personally I liked ID more, but Cop Craft was pretty cool. He was the main character in both of them. Definitely recommend watching them. Reaction or offscreen (though definitely with ID I'd prefer reaction). Also in Domestic Girlfriend he played a flamboyant gay cafe owner who used to be a yakuza. LOL. He's also played an op mc as well in Demon King Retry.

The animation and fight scenes are top tier. Although, the way they have the story and characters put into the anime is so bad it almost counterbalances it. I'm not even hating on it but I can't call this a truly good anime adaptation. Other than the fight scenes and different powers everything was either bullshit confusion or worthless character backstories or more confusion about what is happening in the story. I thought the series was pretty good up to around episode 5 or 6 other than the super super shitty wedding episode which I literally skipped it was so damn bad. After that I still enjoyed the fight scenes but I couldn't push out logic of how bad they the characters are being handled and how rushed certain things seemed to be and the general confusion going on.

I'm current on the webtoon, I thought it was dope as hell, the pacing was a bit fast but I kind of expected that with them only having 13 episodes to cram all of an established "season 1" in the webtoon, at times I thought the pacing was really good, and at other times it was pretty bad, I wish they'd shown a little more of less important side characters, but since they were given 13 episodes to work with I also understand why they cut that since it's less important to the story. I liked the changes made from the webtoon as well, and overall I don't have much to complain about. It was just a fun ride for me.

I also had the same exact reaction at the beginning. "Oh it's the opening straight off? I'M EXCITED" lol
