This episode was wild. I wholeheartedly hope that bitch named Elsa gets fucked up a few times before the end of the series. Out of everyone in this series she has always been my most hated character. I hate her attitude. I just now watched the episode so hopefully some other mods kept check on the comment section.

Also who is this man in the durag that has shown up in the reaction? I don't remember this character ever being introduced in the Re:Animated anime. I'll have to give it time before I can judge this new character that has appeared. Maybe we'll get an arc where the durag finally comes off and he unleashes his full power.

When Roswall was talking about the two books he said subaru already knew what the book was and he already knew who had the other one which is of course Beatrice. You all seemed to confuse that when talking about it afterwards. So what we know now is their are 2 books and Beatrice and Roswall have been shown to have both of them.

This episode is pure "confusion". Just when I thought I was getting answers, they hit me when that curveball. In this anime, I have to nitpick at every word. The part with Maylie, she said it was nice playing with him for "that day". Because of Subaru's ability, he's played with those kids multiple times. He grew an attachment to them, unlike Maylie, who only knows him for that one time. I know Elsa has bad rep, but I like her character. I think it's the quality of a character that you can't help but like. I'm all confused about Beatrice and Roswall. Something tells me that Beatrice is dead-dead though. Her being a Great Spirit tells me she isn't affected by Subaru's ability. I hope I'm wrong

XD

Ok my theories: 1) WHAT IF...... Roswaal..... used to be in a very similar situation to Subaru. What if HE used to be able to Return by Death at one point as well? A long time ago? And then had that taken away somehow. That's like, the only thing I can think of with his cryptic words at the end there. 2) I'm thinking actually, Emilia might not be 100% Satella..... but like, maybe stuck in between Emilia and Satella, resulting in Emilia's cheerfulness amplified? Or maybe what we saw before was incomplete.... and this is the complete and fully resurrected Satella with Emilia as the vessel? Actually, the latter makes more sense, I think. Can't wait until next episode!

I don't think Emilia was possessed at all there. I just think she was mentally broken. If she was possessed surely she'd have looked like Satella the last time we saw her (all shadowy and shit). Please White Fox give my girl some joy

Yeah I can see that. We've seen mentally broken Subaru.... mentally broken Emilia is quite the twist. But it does make sense.... if he's not there when she wakes up, freaking out and everything. Before he was there to calm her down and comfort her, be her rock. Or even that time when he was the one that needed a shoulder, his mere presence gave her stability (which further enforces "Subilia"). This time, no Subaru, so she probably was freaking out post-Trial for quite a while, until she just broke. :( But I have no doubt that also provided an opportunity for Satella in some way. Not sure how exactly. It might be a mix of Emilia being broken, and Satella taking hold in some fashion.
