Yeah so promare is made by studio trigger, which also made gurren laggan and kill la kill and is made by the same director (Hiroyuki Imaishi) as those two. And the soundtrack is made by Hiroyuki Sawano who also made the tracks for kill la kill, seven deadly sins and attack on titan and many more. So those are just little facts I know, glad y’all enjoyed the movie too!

The whole theater erupted with hype when the mech first transformed, and when the drill appeared, because of the Gurren Lagann tributes. Studio Trigger also did SSSS.Gridman, which is essentially Ultraman + Gurren Lagann/Gundam. XD

Fate/Stay Night is the Saber route Fate/Stay Night Unlimted Blade Works is the Tohsaka Rin route Fate/Stay Night Heaven's Feel is the Sakura route All three happen at the same time within the same universe but on 3 parallel lines.

Man this movie definitely wasn’t for me 😅 All that color hurt the hell outta my eyes and gave me a massive headache, the story was meh (pretty much a watered down fire force) and i’m not really into the whole mecha genre at all either (besides Code Geass because Lelouch is that nigga lol) The soundtrack like most other trigger shows was really damn good though so i’ll give it that at least

I get you. I don't know if you've seen Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann before, but this movie was just TTGL but at a smaller scale. TTGL (slight SPOILERS) was about the universe, saving galaxies and stopping you-know-who, etc; whereas Promare was about saving Earth and humanity. They even referenced a lot of moments from TTGL, like the monologue with arms-crossed where the camera pans in, literal Kamina reincarnation as MC, and the most obvious, the drill. I haven't seen SSSS.Gridman, so I don't know if there were any references from that. This movie was overall alright. The entire time the fight was happening at the beginning of the movie, all I asked myself was "what am I looking at", because the colors and shapes were so hard to track and recognize. The OST, like you said, was a banger. Sawano doesn't disappoint. Like Sherm stated in the description, this was just a fun movie. Nothing overly complex or worth analyzing, though "everything" was extra af and the colors' vividness was cranked MAX 😂

I’ve heard a lot about TTGL but it’s one of those shows i’ve avoided simply because it’s a mecha show, i kinda figured they were referencing it a lot in this movie but i didn’t really catch any of it because i’m not familiar with TTGL at all And i know Trigger kinda has their signature style when it comes to animation, and i’m usually a fan of it (especially in Kiznaiver) but this was just WAY too over the top for me

1:41:50 'open wide big fella" Ya'll always kill me with your commentary. This is my favourite anime movie of all time followed by an assortment of Studio Ghibli movies. I am glad you guys liked it. In the memorial book, an illustration of Kray eating pizza in jail can be found. This may of been Kray's fate after the movie.
