Some time ago Clip Studio Paint got basic keyframing added, so I thought I'd give it a go (so I could move the entire head, face, wing etc. without having to make a new copy of every layer for each frame). I found the feature quite rudimentary, so I still did most of it frame by frame.

CSP is ten years ahead of Toon Boom Harmony when it comes to drawing tools (literally every stroke in TBH demands post correction adjustments and the auto stabilization is awful), so drawing frame by frame is much better in CSP.

TBH is also much less fluid when doing even simple things such as adding a new layer. First you click ctrl+R, name the new layer, drag it in the right place, pull a connector from the layer to your animation composite, pull a connector to your master peg, create an empty drawing on the layer, extend the drawing to the entire timeline and then you can start drawing.

In CSP you just click alt+shift+V and all of these things are done for you.

I guess I'll keep using TBH mostly, though it would be rad if there was one software with CSP's vector tools and TBH's animation tools.
