The gear Tsubasa uses after Ver deploys the antilinker is her gear from season 1 which is a nice way to demonstrate their new looks in season 2 aren't just a visual update with a larger animating budget but them improving and getting stronger and more compatible with their gears as time goes on. Only the fourth season was not thought to be the possible end of the series and G does do a great job of feeling like a completely natural continuation of the story that was planned all along. The writers really did a good job not only writing a satisfying ending but also leaving some threads and then picking them back up to continue it on.
